Leaders from “East Turkestan” terror organizations have organized for members to head for Syria to participate in their quest for jihad, the Global Times has learned from Chinese anti-terrorism authorities.

The organizations include the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) and the East Turkestan Education and Solidarity Association (ETESA) that push for “independence” for China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

Since May, ETIM and ETESA members have been going to Syria and linking up with organizations like Al Qaeda to fight against the Syrian government, according to China’s anti-terrorism authority.

“ETIM is being helped by Al Qaeda and they are collecting funds through drug and gun trafficking, kidnapping and robbery. ETIM selected and recruited separatists, criminals and terrorists who fled from Xinjiang to receive secret terrorism training, an official from the anti-terrorism authorities told the Global Times.

After receiving orders from Al Qaeda, terrorists from China came to Syria to meet with…

General Command of the Army and Armed Forces Declare Suspension of Military Operations on Occasion of Eid al-Adh.

The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces on Thursday declared suspension of military operations  in the Syrian Arab Republic on the occasion of Eid al-Adha from Friday October 26th to Monday 29th.

In a statement, the General Command said, “In consistence with our responsibilities of protecting civilians and the public and private properties, the Armed Forces will reserve the right to respond to the following”:

First, the continuation of the armed terrorist groups’ gunfire against civilians and government forces and attacking public and private properties, in addition to using booby-trapped cars and explosive devices.

Second, attempts of the armed terrorist groups to reinforce their positions as of the beginning of this announcement or getting munitions or members.

Third, the facilitation of neighboring countries to let terrorists pass across…

A car rigged with explosives went off in the Damascus suburb of Daf al-Shouk Wednesday, killing six people and injuring 20, the state TV said.

The explosion left material damages also, the TV said, giving no further details.

The blast site is adjacent to Damascus’ battered district of Tadamun, which has emerged as a hotspot in Syria’s 19-months-old crisis.

Opposition activists posted an online amateur video purporting to show the blast site from a distance. They said the blast was caused by an explosive device that ripped through a checkpoint of Syrian forces in the Daf al-Shouk area, adding that the rebels “al- Ansari Battalion” claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

The blast is the third to hit Syria within 12 hours, casting a dim prospect of any pacification during the upcoming Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice.

Well-informed security source revealed Tuesday that that the Internal Security Forces [ISF] Information Branch put its hand on the communications data pertaining to the phone calls of late Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan, hours before his assassination.

In an interview with “as-Safir” Lebanese newspaper, the source unveiled that the data ranges specifically from the moment of al-Hassan’s arrival at Beirut International airport Thursday evening to the moment of the explosion around 3 p.m. on Friday.

“Directly after the blast, ISF Director General Major General Ashraf Rifi ordered to be briefed on any possibility that the blast might have targeted any political figure,” the source added.

He further mentioned that “the information denied that any politician had been targeted,”

Meanwhile, Rifi tried to call al-Hassan, who was supposed to be with his family in Paris after coming from Berlin.

According to the source, Rifi discovered that the head of ISF Information Branch…

The Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi reiterated that Damascus is open to all political initiatives as it believes in the importance of the political and peaceful solution.

He further hoped that “these regional positive proposals lead to a comprehensive national dialogue, thus achieving what the Syrian people aspire.”

“President Bashar al-Assad deals positively with all the submitted political initiatives: from the Arab initiative, to Kofi Annan’s proposal, and last, the international envoy to Syria al-Akhdar Ibrahimi’s proposal,” al-Halqi confirmed.

In an interview with al-Intiqad website, the Syrian PM highlighted that “al-Assad believes in the need to stop violence and end the bloodshed in Syria.”

“Al-Assad sent his directions to prevent any human or urban harm, to preserve in the minimum level, the lives and homes of citizens as well as limit the damage,” he added.

On the military level, al-Halqi stressed that “the military decisiveness in Aleppo didn’t retreat.”

JEWISH CONTROL OF SAUDI ARABIA

JEWISH CONTROL OF SAUDI ARABIA

JEWISH CONTROL OF SAUDI ARABIA

Reportedly, the Saudi monarchs and their Wahhabi religion have Jewish origins.

Wayne Madsen has written about the Jewish connections to Saudi Arabia.

(I Understand and I wish to Continue – The ‘DONMEH’ (CRYPTO JEWS): House of Saud Connections)

According to Madsen:

The Turkish Ottoman Empire, which included key parts of Saudi Arabia, had lots of crypto-Jews (Jews pretending to be Moslems)

These crypto-Jews (also called Donmeh) have connections to the Saudi royal family and Saudi religion.

The Saudi follow the Wahhabi form of Islam.

Reportedly, the founder of the Saudi Wahhabi sect of Islam, Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, was a crypto-Jew.

An Iraqi intelligence report, dated 2002, and released in 2008 by the US Defense Intelligence Agency, points to the Jewish roots of Wahhab.

The report uses the memoirs of a Mr. Hempher, a British spy who claimed to be an Azeri.

In the mid-18th century, Hempher made contact with Wahhab in order to set up the Wahhabi sect.

Reportedly, the purpose of the Wahhabi sect was to bring about an Arab revolt against the Ottomans and pave the way for a Jewish state in Palestine.

Hempher’s memoirs are recounted by the Ottoman writer Ayyub Sabri Pasha in his 1888 work, ‘The Beginning and Spreading of Wahhabism.’

In his book, ‘The Dönmeh Jews’, D. Mustafa Turan writes thatWahhab’s grandfather, Tjen Sulayman, was actually Tjen Shulman, a member of the Jewish community of Basra, Iraq.

In his book, ‘The Dönmeh Jews and the Origin of the Saudi Wahhabis’, Rifat Salim Kabar reveals that Shulman eventually settled in what is now Saudi Arabia, where his grandson, Muhammad Wahhab, founded the Wahhabi sect of Islam.

The Iraqi intelligence report states that Shulman had been banished from Damascus, Cairo, and Mecca for his ‘quackery.’

Abdul Wahhab Ibrahim al-Shammari’s book, ‘The Wahhabi Movement: The Truth and Roots’, states that King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud, the first Saudi monarch, was descended from Mordechai bin Ibrahim bin Moishe, a Jewish merchant from Basra.

According to the book, Moishe changed his name and married off his son to a woman from a Saudi tribe.

The Iraqi intelligence report reveals that the researcher Mohammad Sakher was the subject of a Saudi contract murder hit for his examination into the Sauds’ Jewish roots.

In Said Nasir’s book, ‘The History of the Saud Family’, it is maintained that in 1943, the Saudi ambassador to Egypt, Abdullah bin Ibrahim al Muffadal, paid Muhammad al Tamami to forge a family tree showing that the Sauds and Wahhabs were one family that descended directly from the Prophet Mohammed.

The Turkish Ottoman Empire, which gradually shrank in size.

At the start of World War I, a Jewish British officer, David Shakespeare, met with Ibn Saud, who was to become the first Saudi monarch.

Shakespeare later led a Saudi army that defeated a tribe opposed to Ibn Saud.

In 1915, Ibn Saud met with the British envoy to the Gulf region, Bracey Cocas.

Cocas made the following offer to Ibn Saud: “I think this is a guarantee for your endurance as it is in the interest of Britain that the Jews have a homeland and existence, and Britain’s interests are, by all means, in your interest.”

Ibn Saud replied: “Yes, if my acknowledgement means so much to you, I acknowledge thousand times granting a homeland to the Jews in Palestine or other than Palestine.”

Two years later, British Foreign Secretary Lord Balfour, in a letter to Baron Walter Rothschild, a leader of the British Zionists, stated: “His Majesty’s government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people . . .”

The deal to set up Israel had the backing of the Turkish leader Kemal Ataturk, who was reportedly a crypto-Jew.

In 1932, the British put Ibn Saud into power as King of Saudi Arabia.

The Sauds made Wahhabism the state religion of Saudi Arabia.

Turkey – part of the New World Order

Turkey has its ‘deep state’, a hidden government which has carried out acts of false flag terrorism (Ergenekon).

(Turkey’s ‘deep state’ is said to have worked with Mossad and the CIA, and to have aided in carrying out the 9 11 attacks)

One high-ranking Turkish foreign policy official has said thatthere are ‘deep states’ in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria.

These ‘deep states’ would appear to involve crypto-Jews.

In Libya’s new government, the Wahhabis have much influence.

General Wessam Al-Hassan was the general director of the “Information Security” which is considered as a device working in favour for the “14 March movement” that consists mainly of “Future Movement” lead by Al-Hariri, “Lebanese forces” lead by Samir Geagea and “Lebanese Brigades” lead by Amin Al-Jmayel.
I listened to an interview with Rafi Madayan at OTV, a Lebanese TV that represents the National Free Movement lead by General Michel Aon, on Sunday 21 October between 1 p.m and 3 p.m Damascus time (he was the guest in the studio with many live reports interfering the dialogue from time to time, this is why it took 2 hours). I summarized some important notes he explained, as well as some little comments by me.
The speeches of the “14 March movement” that hasn’t stop since the first hour of his death were terrible; they are full of hatred and instigation against Hizbullah! All the anger of his death was directed against Hizbullah! I believe Israel and the Islamist extremists are working in a high harmony! Israel assassinates a personality from one side, and those start to insult Hizbullah! I can imagine the officials of Mossad watching them on Lebanese TVs, smiling and drinking now their Champaign and saying: “Cheers”!
The crowd in the rally is shouting: “Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!” The flags of Al-Qaeda and FSA show more that the Lebanese one!

Madayan revealed some interesting points:
There was a French idea to finish the Sunni symbols of Syrian “regime” in order to give the impression that this regime is a regime of a “minority” that dominates the Sunni majority. This started by the assassination of the two generals Bikhtiar and Turkmani in the terrorist bombing of the National Security building (as well as killing Asef Shawkat – Alawite – and Daoud Rajha – Christian). Then next target for the French intelligence was General Ali Mamlouk, who is a Sunni from Damascus.
Wissam Al-Hasan was involved with the French in this plan. The case of Michel Smaha was invented to accuse Ali Mamlouk to get rid of him later.
The German file:
W.H. was in a trip in Germany just before his assassination. He was discussing with the German intelligence some secret files. The German files have also to be studied.

Tell the “14 March movement” who are very sure that the assassinator is “Syrian regime” since they heard of the news:
Respect Mossad and CIA a little bit! You are insulting them like that to deny their ability and will to assassinate anybody. You are insulting them to describe them as “innocent sheep”!
Wissam Al-Hasan detected many spying networks for Israel inside Lebanon, so WHY the Israeli hypothesis is absented from the speech of “14 March movement”?!
Tell the “14 March movement” who are crying in our ears day by night with their slogans of “independence and sovereignty”:
How can these slogans match with the plenty of flags of the FSA in their rally in the “Martyrs Sq.” on Sunday 21 October?
Madayan asks them:
Do you think that if FSA wins there will be a secular civil government in Damascus? Or it will be an Islamist one! What will happen if the Islamist extremists that you are now hosting and supporting with money and weapons got strong and have the power (even partially)? Do you think that they will deal with Lebanon in terms of independence and sovereignty? The Islamist organizations are already crossing the borders in their ideologies. For instance: The terrorist organization “Jund Al-Sham” (i.e. Soldiers of Al-Sham) is not restricted in the actual political borders of Syria. Al-Sham is the historical term for the geographical Syria which includes Syria and Lebanon and more). The same for “Al-Qaeda in Al-Sham”! At that time those organizations will not take care of their “independence and sovereignty”.

He asked also:
Is it moral to take advantage of this drama to change the Prime Minister Najib Miqati that they’ve been trying to in the last months? Is it acceptable to use his blood for elective purposes?! They are insisting that the PM has to resign as a natural consequence. He wonders why they didn’t demand the same when the ex-PM Saniora was in power! What will the resignation of the PM serve? Everybody in Lebanon is aware of the fact that reaching an agreement on another government in this situation of tension, even before this accident, is very difficult. How can it be acceptable to use his death to instigate against their counterpart in the country (8 March that consists mainly of Hizbullah, National Free Movement lead by Michel Aon and many others) and accusing them to be the “agents of Syrian regime in Lebanon” and accusing them to be “covering the killers” while they are repeating that he has been martyred for the whole country of Lebanon? Are their slogans and speeches of hatred helping unity?
Then, why nobody in the media of 14 March is caring about the big number of civilian victims of this bomb that killed Wissam Al-Hasan? There are about 100 injuries and 10 victims! The bombing occurred in an area that is almost supporting the National Free Movement. Why the one who wanted to assassinate Wessam Al-Hassan didn’t commit that in an area with less density of population, such as on a road? Why don’t we think of the hypothesis that this could be done by a foreign intelligence, such as CIA or Mossad, that wants mainly to increase the conflict and hatred and instigate the extremist Sunni groups against Hizbullah and ALSO to disturb the background of Michel Aon by giving them the message: “You see, this is the Syrian regime who you are supporting, he doesn’t care of your lives when he wants to kill somebody”
Madayan explained that Al-Hassan was involved in numerous confrontations and files so he has got numerous enemies, so it is naïve to ignore everything and accuse ONE part, that is, the Syrian regime.
Answering a question whether he also put the hypothesis of “Islamist extremists”, Madayan answered:
“Not really, he hasn’t really working against those groups. May be it was mainly the specialization of the army and general security”
At the end, he called all Lebanese people to be aware that nor Sunni people, nor Chiia neither Christians have a benefit of this sedition. This assassination serves, again and again, the sectarian split and the instigation of hatred among Lebanese people.

Lebanon: clashes in the square and flags of Al Qaeda waving at the funeral of Wissam al-Hassan.

High tension in Beirut after the opposition had organized thousands of people to the streets for the funeral of Wissam al-Hassan, the head of the Lebanese intelligence died in the attack on Friday at Achrafiya. The funeral turned into clashes with the Lebanese authorities because of the speeches and declarations of incitement by the politicians of the March 14 Movement (or Mustakbal).

This event was an excellent opportunity for the Lebanese opposition to incite the assault against the authorities and the Lebanese military deployed in defense of the building of government offices to ensure their safety. Reported also shooting with firearms, which caused many casualties.

The FSA have bee using innocent people from the start as human shields, but now stealing babies, they are inhuman. In the past we have seen the FSA go into a hospital and steal all of the dead bodies so that they can use them in their fake films and blame the government for killing them.

We have seen a news story on Al Jazeera, which told of a woman who had been shot by the government and showed her funeral. In fact the woman was living in Lebanon and a cripple and died of natural causes…

Friends of Syria

As part of the global campaign in solidarity with Syria organized by the National Union of Syrian Students, the Syrian students and citizens assembled on Friday, together with their Russian friends outside the US embassy in Moscow to express support to the Syrian leadership, armed forces and people in confronting the international terrorism and the fierce campaign targeting it.

The supporters raised banners and chanted slogans condemning the aggressive policies of the US, EU countries, Gulf sheikhdoms and Turkey which seek to undermine Syria’s freedom, sovereignty and territorial safety, denouncing the infiltration of mercenary terrorists, arms smuggling and the terrorist crimes on the Syrian soil.

They also hoisted banners that read ”Get your Hands off Syria”, ”Syria and Russia…Friendship for ever”.
A number of Russian youth and social organizations took part in the event, including the Anti-Globalization Movement, Eurasia Youth Union and others.

#American snipers in Syria

https://www.facebook.com/notes/syria-news/achieve-a-very-important-american-snipers-in-syria/295104390604928

For those who still insist on denying the faculty that reveals the presence of foreign terrorist fighters fighting against the Syrian army and killing the Syrians, please check out the following and judgment is left to you,,A German log has published an article questioning the presence of an American sniper in Syria after working as a journalist in Libya to be transformed into “fighters for freedom” because of what they called it “violence and criminality of the Libyan regime”. Those snipers were in Libya and after destroying Libya, they have come to Syria to be participants in shedding the Syrian blood as they have done in Libya. The German log has made a video of only 40 seconds called “Aleppo” the basis of this article. The video shows targeting a Syrian helicopter in Aleppo. This person appears in the video. The German log said that he is an American sniper. The Syrian network, Sham News Network, has completed the inquiry and ended up with evidences that leave no space for denying that fact that there are foreign “American” snipers fighting in Syria. First, this person appears in the video. The German log said that he is an American sniper.

His name is Kevin Patrick Dawes. He is from California, San Diego.

Second, this is his account on twitter. The last tweet send by him was on the 2nd of October. https://twitter.com/orac4321

On his account on twitter, there is something so remarkable, namely his relations with so many Syrian names of people who are so well-known for their Zionised stances.

Third, this is his account on youtube. The last participation by him was on the 28th of September. http://www.youtube.com/user/orac22He was called “Sirte sniper” because of his participation in killing many Libyans. There are many videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2llmx8XyrwFourth, another person called Mathew VanDyke who also participated in killing many Libyans has come to Syria as well. Check out this tweet on the 16th of October, where a journalist called Brown Moses tells VanDyke to say “hello” to Kevin Dawses if he spot him Aleppo. This means that both of them are in Aleppo; and of course, you can imagine how many Syrians were killed by these two insects.

For those who insist on saying that the terrorism in Syria is nothing but a pure revolution by the Syrian people, would you use your minds just a little bit??!! If it is done by the Syrians, then why do we have fighters from ALL OVER THE WORLD?????!! WHY?!! The Syrians are fighting for their real freedom that the foreign and Arab killers want to take it from them. That is why the Syrians are being killed because they refuse to replace the real free and independent Syria with the Western-Zionized- Americanized- Qatarized- dependent Syria,,The revolution that declared by the people doesn’t need the whole world to help it in order to succeed. No will is stronger than the will of the people of any nation,, Waiting for the Syrian army to put its shoes on the heads of all of those mercenaries who are coming to kill the Syrian people,,

Intervention under the Responsibility to Protect (R2P):an international legal norm meant to establish guidelines for the compromise of sovereignty in cases where national governments were unable or unwilling to protect their own people from atrocities, say its definition!
USE IT when:
1.There must be just cause
2. Use of force must be applied as a last resort
3. The intentions of the acting states must be good
4. Any action taken must be proportionate
5. There must be a reasonable chance of success
6. The action must be authorized by a legitimate authority
The legal ground for intervention are in this kind of case:
(1) self-defense,
(2) Security Council authorization
(3) invitation from the state’ s authority .
R2P has created a new vocabulary for talking about how to deal with situations through its language of” preventing and rebuilding”.
2001 :
-with the International helping ground, USA created the American secret agency P20G,the largest expansion into the world of black ops and covert action since the end of the Vietnam War in the 1970s,using agents provocateurs, killing civilians, money, drugs, or whatever was needed to justify R2P ! They did that by sponsoring the terrorist in Syria ,clearly targeting civilians and the SAA !What they didn’t know was that the Syrian stance is in the Syrians’ blood and that more they spill it ,more it will spread among those who were “neutral” at first, covering the third point but leading to the failure of the chance to touch the fifth point which went down to null !The double veto at the UN prevented the sixth ,3 times !What’s left?Provocation from another state, willing to help in the application of the plan :Turkey! So it entered the stage: violating the Syrian airspace -plan ruined by the brave Syrian soldier who shot it but, unfortunately for the warmonger erDOGanus ,proven to be a dead end .And here we are again:FSA’s mercenaries have got NATO bombs. They used it against their host to help it accomplish the Zionist plan!

Friends of Syria

It is as a geographer that Manlio Dinucci scrutinizes the war in Syria: the deployment of NATO forces, the ad hoc coalition that the Alliance put together and, especially, the strategic motive. What is really at stake in this conflict is not regime change, but shutting down the Mediterranean outlet for Iranian gas and controlling Syria’s gas reserves.

A declaration of war today would be incongruous. But to make one all it would take is a casus belli. Such as the mortar projectile which departed from Syria and made five victims in Turkey. Ankara retaliated with cannon fire, while the parliament authorized the Erdogan government to launch military operations in Syria. A blank check for war that NATO is prepared to pick up.

The Atlantic Council denounced the “Syrian regime’s recent aggressive acts at NATO’s southeastern border“, itching to trigger Article 5, stating that an attack on…

Syria has the vastest reserves in gas: Time to reconstruct on credit?

The Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), basically a subsidiary of the Zionist lobby the American Israel Public Affairs Committee  (AIPAC), confirmed that Syria has the vastest gas reserves in the world, not counting the even vaster reserves in the offshore.

In August 2011, Syria oil minister declared that discovery of gas in Qara, near the entirely destroyed city of Homs, that can produce  up to 146 million cubic meters per year.

In July 2011, Iran signed contracts that will link Iranian gas with pipelines to the Mediterranean Sea through Iraq and Syria, opening up a new geopolitical strategic debouches to Iran.

Syria was getting ready to be the main Gas producer and major passage way for the export of gas in the world.

Israel has already started exploiting its offshore gas, nibbled on Lebanon sovereign sea…

Nine years later and here we are. This is problem, reaction, solution and it is likely the program that is fomenting the changes in the middle east.:Agents provocateurs, Killing civilians, Money, Drugs, jihadist propaganda-‘P2OG”-

Copeland interviewed in 1969,was reflecting ruefully on the disaster they had created in Syria. His is the voice of a generation of Americans who had tried to intervene to bring democracy to the Middle East – not just in Syria but later in Iran and in Nasser’s Egypt. The “Game” he refers to is a management game-playing exercise the CIA did in the 1950s when planning the interventions. It’s aim was to predict how all the “players” in the country would behave, but the predictions were wrong!Za’im promised the Americans he would throw all the corrupt politicians in jail, reform the country, recognize the new state of Israel, and then bring in proper democracy. All the Americans were convinced that it was a brilliant plan – except for one man, a young political officer called Deane Hinton. Copeland describes a moment when they were out in Damascus planning the coup when Hinton turned to the rest of the group and said:”I want to go on record as saying that this is the stupidest, most irresponsible action a diplomatic mission like ours could get itself involved in, and that we’ve started a series of these things that will never end.” ( Deane Hinton, Political officer, US Embassy in Syria, 1947. Hinton had been right, speaking to the American CIA which  had “opened the door to the Dark Ages” in Syria back then).
Deane was promptly kicked out of the group and ostracized . The coup happened in March 1949. It was the first post-war military coup in the Middle East.

The “Game”  is a management game-playing exercise the CIA did in the 1950s when planning the interventions,  when most of the Syrian people were terrified of America, not just because of the interventions and the coup, but also because of their support for Israel so they have turned to the Soviets as a message to America. They also see Israel as America’s agent.

Another military coup, in 1957 code-named Operation Wappen.

The CIA man in charge was called Howard “Rocky” Stone, and he terrified the Syrians because he always stared intensely at them. The Syrians had uncovered the CIA plot to overthrow the government. Three CIA men had been expelled, and even Wyatt has to admit in the commentary that the evidence for the plot is strong.

In 1963 in Syria, the  favorite gag “joke” was that the coup will only happen when the western media arrive. In that:the plotters are waiting for the Panorama reporter to turn up because they know that coup will not be real until it is reported by the west.It is an early example of the techno-orientalism that is being repeated today in the media’s firm belief that it is the western social media networks that made possible the rebellions in Tunisia and Egypt.

In 1963,while in Iraq another CIA coup was harvesting the results, the Syrian Baathists weren’t going to be outclassed. A month later they mounted their coup, and this time without the CIA’s help. Hafez al-Assad was one of the leaders.
The dream of Baathism  in Syria was to overcome the sectarianism that had always riven the Arab world, to create a secular society in which everyone was included! The hatred was deep because when the French ruled the country they had practiced a program  of divide and rule which deliberately fomented and exaggerated the sectarian divisions in the country.

Ben Fenton wrote for The Guardian on Saturday 27 September 2003

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2003/sep/27/uk.syria1

“Nearly 50 years before the war in Iraq, Britain and America sought a secretive “regime change” in another Arab country they accused of spreading terror and threatening the west’s oil supplies, by planning the invasion of Syria and the assassination of leading figures.

Newly discovered documents show how in 1957 Harold Macmillan and President Dwight Eisenhower approved a CIA-MI6 plan to stage fake border incidents as an excuse for an invasion by Syria’s pro-western neighbors, and then to “eliminate” the most influential triumvirate in Damascus.

The plans, frighteningly frank in their discussion, were discovered in the private papers of Duncan Sandys, Mr Macmillan’s defense secretary, by Matthew Jones, a reader in international history at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Although historians know that intelligence services had sought to topple the Syrian regime in the autumn of 1957, this is the first time any document has been found showing that the assassination of three leading figures was at the heart of the scheme. In the document drawn up by a top secret and high-level working group that met in Washington in September 1957, Mr Macmillan and President Eisenhower were left in no doubt about the need to assassinate the top men in Damascus.

Part of the “preferred plan” reads: “In order to facilitate the action of liberative forces, reduce the capabilities of the Syrian regime to organize and direct its military actions, to hold losses and destruction to a minimum, and to bring about desired results in the shortest possible time, a special effort should be made to eliminate certain key individuals. Their removal should be accomplished early in the course of the uprising and intervention and in the light of circumstances existing at the time.”

The document, approved by London and Washington, named three men: Abd al-Hamid Sarraj, head of Syrian military intelligence; Afif al-Bizri, chief of the Syrian general staff; and Khalid Bakdash, leader of the Syrian Communist party.

For a prime minister who had largely come to power on the back of Anthony Eden’s disastrous antics in Suez just a year before, Mr Macmillan was remarkably bellicose. He described it in his diary as “a most formidable report”. Secrecy was so great, Mr Macmillan ordered the plan withheld even from British chiefs of staff, because of their tendency “to chatter”.

Concern about the increasingly anti-western and pro-Soviet sympathies of Syria had been growing in Downing Street and the White House since the overthrow of the conservative military regime of Colonel Adib Shishakli by an alliance of Ba’ath party and Communist party politicians and their allies in the Syrian army, in 1954.

Driving the call for action was the CIA’s Middle East chief Kermit Roosevelt, grandson of former president Theodore Roosevelt. He identified Colonel Sarraj, General al-Bizri and Mr Bakdash as the real power behind a figurehead president. The triumvirate had moved even closer to Nikita Khrushchev’s orbit after the previous year’s disastrous attempt by Britain and France, in collusion with Israel, to reverse the nationalization of the Suez canal.

By 1957, despite America’s opposition to the Suez move, President Eisenhower felt he could no longer ignore the danger of Syria becoming a center for Moscow to spread communism throughout the Middle East. He and Mr Macmillan feared Syria would destabilize pro-western neighbors by exporting terrorism and encouraging internal dissent. More importantly, Syria also had control of one of the main oil arteries of the Middle East, the pipeline which connected pro-western Iraq’s oilfields to Turkey.

The “preferred plan”adds: “Once a political decision is reached to proceed with internal disturbances in Syria, CIA is prepared, and SIS [MI6] will attempt, to mount minor sabotage and coup de main incidents within Syria, working through contacts with individuals.

“The two services should consult, as appropriate, to avoid any overlapping or interference with each other’s activities… Incidents should not be concentrated in Damascus; the operation should not be overdone; and to the extent possible care should be taken to avoid causing key leaders of the Syrian regime to take additional personal protection measures.”

Sabotage

The report said that once the necessary degree of fear had been created, frontier incidents and border clashes would be staged to provide a pretext for Iraqi and Jordanian military intervention. Syria had to be “made to appear as the sponsor of plots, sabotage and violence directed against neighboring governments,” the report says. “CIA and SIS should use their capabilities in both the psychological and action fields to augment tension.” That meant operations in Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon, taking the form of “sabotage, national conspiracies and various strong-arm activities” to be blamed on Damascus.

The plan called for funding of a “Free Syria Committee”, and the arming of “political factions with paramilitary or other actionist capabilities” within Syria. The CIA and MI6 would instigate internal uprisings, for instance by the Druze in the south, help to free political prisoners held in the Mezze prison, and stir up the Muslim Brotherhood in Damascus.

The planners envisaged replacing the Ba’ath/Communist regime with one that was firmly anti-Soviet, but they conceded that this would not be popular and “would probably need to rely first upon repressive measures and arbitrary exercise of power”.

The plan was never used, chiefly because Syria’s Arab neighbors  could not be persuaded to take action and an attack from Turkey alone was thought to be unacceptable. The following year, the Ba’athists moved against their Communist former allies and took Syria into a federation with Gen Nasser’s Egypt, which lasted until 1963.”

In 2002,Asia Times has  revealed  information about another American secret agency P20G:

“‘P2OG’ allows Pentagon to fight dirty

By David Isenberg
Nov 5, 2002
Asia Times

“Run away from the light”: Such might be the motto of a new, covert policy that the Bush administration is considering implementing. According to recent news reports, it would be the largest expansion into the world of black ops and covert action since the end of the Vietnam War in the 1970s.

And that’s saying quite a lot, considering that since Vietnam the Pentagon has not exactly been dormant in this area.

As well-known military analyst William Arkin pointed out in an October 27 column in the Los Angeles Times, the development of the Pentagon’s covert counter-terror capability has its roots in the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. The army created a highly compartmentalized organization that could collect clandestine intelligence independent of the rest of the US intelligence community, and follow through with covert military action. Today, it operates under the code name Grey Fox. In Afghanistan it operated alongside the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) paramilitary Special Activities Division and the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command.

Then there are numerous recent initiatives, such as net assessment capabilities at combatant commands, a new campaign support group at Fort Bragg, a counter-terrorism Technology Support Office, to name just a few.

Yet the Pentagon wants more. Its Defense Science Board (DSB) conducted a 2002 “Summer Study on Special Operations and Joint Forces in Support of Countering Terrorism”. Excerpts from that study, dated August 16, were leaked and obtained by the Federation of American Scientists, which posted them on their website. The report was produced by a 10-member panel of military experts that included Vice Admiral William O Studeman, former director of the National Security Agency.

According to the leak, the United States is engaged in a global war on terrorism that is “a real war” in case anyone doubts it. This means, among other things, a “committed, resourceful and globally dispersed adversary with strategic reach” against whom the US will wage “a long, at times violent, and border less war” which “requires new strategies, postures and organization”.

That explains why the United States has, so to speak, decided to fight fire with fire. Although the study is filled with lots of the usual buzzwords and phrases that Pentagon planners love, such as “robust connectivity, agile ground forces, adaptive joint command and control and discriminant use of force”, one thing that does stand out is its call for “preemption/proaction/interdiction/disruption/quick-response capabilities”.

This is consistent with the administration’s new National Security Strategy, which called for preemption; indeed, since the DSB study preceded the release of the strategy, it is possible that the strategy was written to incorporate some of its aspects.

The study urges the Pentagon to “take the terrorist threat as seriously as it takes the likelihood and consequences of major theater war”, urging officials to launch secret missions and intelligence operations to penetrate and disrupt terrorist cells abroad. Some of those operations should be aimed at signaling to countries that harbor terrorists that “their sovereignty will be at risk”.

…lawmakers have expressed concern with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s push to expand the Pentagon’s covert capabilities, mainly because the Pentagon is not subject to rules that require the CIA to report its covert activities to Congress.

The DSB summary document suggests that many changes are already under way. It cites the expansion of existing intelligence analysis centers and the creation of new management teams to direct covert operations at such installations as Fort Bragg, where US special forces such as Delta Force are based.

It recommends the creation of a super-Intelligence Support Activity, an organization it dubs the Proactive, Preemptive Operations Group (P2OG), to bring together CIA and military covert action, information warfare, intelligence and cover and deception. For example, the Pentagon and CIA would work together to increase human intelligence (HUMINT) forward/operational presence and to deploy new clandestine technical capabilities.

To bolster government HUMINT capabilities, the task force advances the idea of an intelligence “surge/unsurge” capability – a “robust, global cadre of retirees, reservists and others who are trained and qualified to serve on short notice, including expatriates”. This group could be pressed into service during times of crisis.

P2OG would launch secret operations aimed at “stimulating reactions” among terrorists and states possessing weapons of mass destruction, meaning it would prod terrorist cells into action, thus exposing them to “quick-response” attacks by US forces. The means by which it would do this is the far greater use of special operations forces.

Responsibility and accountability for the P2OG would be vested in a “Special Operations Executive” in the National Security Council (NSC). The NSC would plan operations but not oversee their execution in order to avoid comparisons to past abuses, such as the Iran-Contra operations run out of the NSC by Oliver North during the Reagan administration. Under the board’s proposal, NSC plans would be executed by the Pentagon or the CIA.

Costs would include developing new means to enable “deep penetration of adversaries” ($1.7 billion annually); exercises and gaming ($100 million annually); development of technical capabilities and the hiring of 500 new staff ($800 million annually); establishment of centers of excellence to handle increased workload ($500 million annually); and expansion of the Joint Forces net assessment activity ($100 million annually). The total cost is envisaged as $3.3 billion.Image

But…when the “terrorists” they were designed to fight against are their own creation,Al Qaeda and when the target area is the richest one in gas and oil or just an impediment in the way of developing  the plan of pipelines which will transport the mineral resources who is to be considered  the real TERRORIST!? USA’ strategy: provoke violent extremist groups into retaliating (remember the “snipers shooting the peaceful”?which sparked terrorists into action) – by killing their family members? luring them with loot? fueling them with drugs? plying them with jihad propaganda?:civilian-slaughtering invasions and incursions into sovereign territory or with agents provocateurs, perhaps, who infiltrate groups then plan and direct the attacks themselves? Being unable to confront directly the war machine because it was vetoed at UN – the largest, most advanced military force in the history of the world, sustained by a tsunami of public money that each year surpasses the military spending of the rest of the world – naturally respond with “asymmetrical” operations. At first, these were directed at nearby targets:  supply lines, the local proxies and allies wiling to grow their bank accounts, and other chaos-inducing depredations in the groups’ own regions, designed to foul the lines of your control and drive out. Just as naturally, USA uses these attacks to justify an even greater military presence in their regions, deliberately fomenting terrorist attacks in order to pursue its political and military agendas. The cycle inevitably, inexorably ratchets upwards and outwards so it whips the herd back into a martial frenzy, keeps the Long War going, and push aside the rabble’s petty, small-minded desires for a peaceful, prosperous life at home, minding their own business and the scenario comes in handy whenever the  hankers need to add a little oil-laden real estate or a new military base to the Empire’s burgeoning portfolio.

When P2OG  is the executor of USA  ‘s interference   in other sovereign countries and this force is used in killings of that country’s civilians who is the one in duty to STOP it?Maybe the UN ?Or is there another ?Who will stop the PREDATOR ?

Planes, strains and geopolitical spills: Syrian conflict goes global

The families of 17 Russian passengers on a Damascus-bound plane from Moscow got a midnight shock upon learning that Turkish jets had intercepted the flight. For those asking why, the answer begins in Syria, and ripples throughout the world.

Damascus called it an act of piracy. Ankara said it was exercising its rights. Moscow accused the Turkish government of endangering the lives of Russian nationals. That Turkish military jets would intercept a passenger plane en route from Moscow to Damascus shows just how much the 18-month conflict to topple the government of President Bashar al-Assad has rippled throughout the region and the world.

Turkey’s increased belligerence, which began with a disproportionate retaliatory shelling campaign against Syria last week and culminated in the interception of the Syrian passenger plane under the pretext that it was carrying Russian military equipment, has sparked…

When is the Syrian ‘opposition’ Syrian?

When is the Syrian ‘opposition’ Syrian?

ANDRE VLTCHEK , 24 September 2012
Subjects:

A novelist, filmmaker and journalist makes his way to the Turkish-Syria border with the help of his Turkish left friends and contacts, to investigate the refugee camps and military camps where he says Syrian and non-Syrian fighters are undergoing training. The locals he meets seem to confirm their suspicions.

At the outskirts of the city of Adana in southern Turkey is located an enormous US Air force base called Incirlik. It is actually only nicknamed ‘the US base’, in reality it is being utilized by the United States Air Force, the Turkish Air Force and by the British RAF. Of course for the United States it may be one of the key overseas military facilities; Incirlik is a home to about five thousand US airmen, ‘complimented’ by several hundred airmen from the British Royal Air Force. But the primary unit stationed at Incirlik is the 39th Air Base Wing (39 ABW) of the US Air Force.  One look at the map and the significance becomes obvious: several ‘important’, ‘strategic’ countries appear to be in a relatively short flying distance from here: Syria, Iran, Lebanon and Iraq to name just a few. But recently the base is gaining new infamy: “There is plenty of evidence that they are now training so called Syrian ‘opposition’ on the premises of Incirlik”, I was told by renowned Turkish investigative journalist Huseyin Guler in the city of Hatay, near the Syrian border.

The base propels the economy of the entire area, both formal and informal. We park at the entrance of “Mujda’s Café & Restaurant”, near the main gate leading to the base. At Mujda’s, all prices are exhibited in US dollars, not in Turkish liras. Photographs depicting US military hardware, airplanes and the officers with all their decorations and medals on display are covering the walls. The exhibits are out of place alongside the kebabs, beer and yoghurt drinks. “Do people around here talk about the Syrian crises?” I ask. “They do, of course”, answers the waiter. “Do they talk about the training of the so called ‘Syrian opposition’”? I press further. “Some do”, he smiles evasively. There is a girl working nearby. We ask her about surveillance. “Of course my phone is tapped, “ she replies. “But that is nothing unusual. They are tapping everyone’s phones around here. Other things happen as well, but I can’t talk about them.”  My colleague and friend Levent (he has to be identified only by his first name, for safety reasons) joins the discussion: “Wiretapping is just one of the most innocent things this government does. It is not only used for collecting intelligence, but also for character assassination of those who dare to stand in its way. For instance, the phones of the generals who declared their outrage and opposition over western involvement in Turkish affairs had been tapped, their conversation flow recorded and broken up to be fabricated into ludicrous but extremely damaging sentences, electronically.”

Incirlik however – is just the beginning of our journey.  We drive 200 kilometers to the city of Hatay – a culturally and religiously diverse southernmost Turkish metropolis near the several border crossings to Syria. Most of the way the highway is suspiciously smooth and fast, perfect for the deployment of troops.  It is clear that in Hatay almost everyone is afraid to talk, from the local barbers to shop owners, hotel receptionists or even the majority of common passers by.  Suleyman, an owner of a huge coffee shop with several impressive water pipes is one exception, but even he prefers to keep his full name and the name of his business anonymous:

“People that the west describes as ‘Syrian opposition’ are considered here, in Hatay, as just a bunch of renegades and bandits. It is hard to believe they actually call them refugees! Refugees with guns, roaming our streets; get real! They are not good people. Almost all of them wear beards, carry guns and make our citizens frightened.”

The Apaydin Camp

A uniformed police officer appears at the door as we speak. He gives us an inquisitive look and disappears as suddenly as he entered. “90% of Syrian people are in favor of Assad’s government and only countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar are supportive of the ‘opposition’, and of course the West,” continues Suleyman. Soon a small circle of people is formed around our table. Once they hear that I am not ‘one of those official media people’, they begin gesturing and talking over each other, explaining that Hatay – the city they love and feel proud of – is renowned for the peaceful coexistence of various ethnic and religious groups. “There are Syrians living here for ages, as well as Armenians, Jews and other diverse ethnic groups. There are Sunni, Shia and several Muslim sects. We used to all live in peace!” “Hatay is very close to Syria”, explains an old man, sipping his strong tea. “90% of the people here are somehow linked to the major city of Aleppo just across the border. And this place – Hatay – even used to be an independent republic; it only joined Turkey in 1939.”

Then Suleyman who obviously has more on his mind, speaks:

“People here believe that the US and the west in general are heavily involved in the conflict in Syria, and that they are grooming the opposition which is both very religious and very intolerant. Hillary Clinton was here in Turkey, and she openly declared that her country would be supporting the ‘refugees’. Now, to make it clear, these people that are being called ‘refugees’ come to our city, and they rent houses here and then many of them are walking around fully armed, waving their machine guns. What is on everyone’s mind here is that they did not come here just to fight the war at the other side of the border – they appear to be quite ready and capable of igniting the violence in Hatay itself.”

But the right wing, pro-government media in the country is using a rather different, and more complicated language to justify the support Turkey is giving to the ‘refugees’. Today’s Zaman newspaper on August 29, 2012 noted:

“ Exploiting the issue of Syrian refugees in domestic politics in order to criticize the government is a cause for concern, according to many analysts in Turkey, who believe that the tensions that have occasionally broken out in recent weeks between local Turkish people and Syrians who have taken refuge in Turkey should not be exploited by the opposition; nor should the issue be treated as one of internal politics.”

*

We drive to the border. It is almost a full moon when we arrive at the Cilvegozu crossing, barbed wiring and watchtowers on both sides of the access road. There are a few cars with Syrian license plates in front of an enormous metal gate, and there are several Turkish taxis waiting seemingly idly by the side of the road. But periodically the gate opens and the cars come in and out. My Turkish colleague inquires if we can pass to the other side and talk to the Syrian border guard. The answer is a resolute “No!” – no Turks and no foreigners are allowed to cross here. The border is open – 24 hours a day – but only for Syrian citizens and the ‘refugees’.  Mehmet is a local taxi driver who is shuttling Syrian citizens between two sides of the border. He is at first reluctant and suspicious, but eventually he agrees to talk: “Hundreds of people pass through this gate every day”, he explains. “And this is not the only one – there are of course other crossings in the area. Some people who come here are injured. Syrian border guards are very lenient: if they see that civilians have been caught in the crossfire, they let them pass without any hindrance. And once in Turkey, they get registered, processed, housed.”  He confirms that the border is only for Syrians and the ‘others’ (he does not elaborate, as we are supposed to know): “We can only take the people to the other side, to the Syrian post, and then return having picked up others from there. Everything is organized; it is not like some spontaneous border traffic like in the old days.”

A ‘normal’ camp in Turkey

*

Apaydin village is just a few minutes drive from the road connecting Hatay and the border at Cilvegozu. There are refugee camps; at least two of them. Officially all these camps are supposed to be for the immigrants escaping violence in Syria, but we are told that one camp is strictly for ‘fighters’ and the other one for civilians.  “The nearest camp is for those who have been fighting against Assad”, explains a fruit seller at the side of the road. “There is a constant military presence around that camp. We are so unhappy about the Syrians coming back and forth! We are afraid, but nobody would pay any attention to us.”

As we make our way towards Apaydin camp, we are in constant telephone contact with the investigative journalist, Huseyin Guler. He keeps sending warnings: “I went 3 times near those camps. Yesterday we tried to enter the Apaydin camp but the guards became aggressive and tried to grab my equipment and to delete the photos. We resisted! They tried to take my cameras by force, but we said: ‘you’d have to fight us! We will defend our equipment. At the end they backed up, but only after some physical brawling. And this time we just tried to photograph the camp from a distance. Before disappearing, I found one sympathetic soldier. I asked him: ‘There must be some serious reason why we are not allowed to take photos.’ ‘Yes’, he replied: ‘There are commandos and soldiers from the Syrian opposition inside this camp’”.

Now we are here. I have plenty of experience with photographing army camps. Just in the last two months I managed to sneak into those near the warzones in Africa: on the Ugandan and DR Congo border, as well as to the one near Gisenyi in Rwanda.  But Apaydin Camp is different. To be precise, this is no Red Cross or UNHCR facility; there are no signs of usual refugees, like baby clothes drying, families sitting idly near the fence, cooking fires sending smoke towards the sky. From the first glimpse, this is one heavy combat camp, surrounded by layers of barbed wire, with watchtowers, soldiers pacing back and forth along the perimeter. Tents are minimalistic and the entrance is like that to some military base.

We drive at regular speed surveying all the possible angles for photographing. Then one sharp 180-degree turn and we begin working: in a slow movement across the front of the gate. I use a very fast professional Nikon. All goes well, but the guard is also fast, and he begins to signal at us, trying to make us stop. We ignore him, making another fast 180-degree turn and hitting the dirt road along the perimeter, although at some distance from the soldiers. It is not much but it is something. I let the motor of the camera run and take a sequence of shots, from several angles. My Turkish colleague is at the wheel and he is as good and steady as one gets.

The entrance to Incirlik Base near Adana

In several minutes it is over and I have some 100 images of Apaydin Camp. But what I have are just external photographs of the site. I want more, I want to know what is hiding behind the fence.

*

“I was inside Apaydin Camp only once”, explains Huseyin Guler, when we finally manage to meet in a safe place in Hatay. “I actually did not enter; I was dragged inside – I was detained! Others are luckier, but not many. For instance yesterday, a Russian journalist – Fatma – was for some reason allowed to go in. Later she said that those so called refugees are directly ‘fed’ with US intelligence.”

“You see,  I have been working here now as an investigative journalist for one year and eight months. I shuttle between the border and the camps. Fighters leave Apaydin Camp in the middle of the night. And they return before dawn. We did our surveillance. Local villagers are confirming that the armed groups are regularly crossing the border at Kizilcat, which is actually a Turkmen village in origin. They march with the weapons on their backs. Across the border from Kizilcat, there used to be a Syrian control post, but now there is none. So the fighters crossing to Syria are managing to train the locals and to return before dawn. Turkish border guards just let them pass. Four months ago a Syrian MP came to Hatay. He protested at the murder of 120 Syrian officials in his country. CIA, Mossad and MIT (Turkish intelligence) immediately began pointing the finger at Assad and the government, but in this part of the world almost everyone knows who is really responsible.”

Huseyin Guler than recalls how he went, six months ago, to the meeting of the ‘refugees’ where he was told that they were invited there by the PM of Turkey himself – Mr Erdogan – and that if they were given money, weapons and training, they would be willing and happy to fight Assad’s government. Mr. Guler filed the story for Aydenlik. And the Turkish government never disputed it. He added, “In another border village – Asagi Pullu Yazi – I once met people who were coming directly from the fighting. One of the fighters said his cousin had been injured and was in the hospital. He even insisted that I know and use his name – Ahmed Mullah Hassan.”

For months I have been meeting Mr Serkan Koc, leading Turkish documentary filmmaker and the chairman of National TV (Ulusal TV) at a discreet café of Pera Museum in Istanbul. We have been exchanging our documentary films and at one point Mr Koc interviewed me for his television station. But mainly we discussed Syria. He offered great insight into the occurrences at the border; he even supplied me with his own photos taken in Syria, permitting me to use them in my reports.  This time, when I went to the border, he was helping to coordinate my steps remotely, over the phone, and supplying me with the details of his investigation:

“Of course you do realize that those people are not really ‘Syrian opposition’. They are modern-day legionnaires collected from various Arab countries, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, paid by western imperialist powers. Some are members of Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. Most are militant Sunni Muslims. One could describe them as rogue elements hired to fight the Assad government. It is important to point out that some 90% of Syrian people are still supporting Assad and I think he is now actually winning the war, although reading the western media you would never think so. Assad is enjoying the support of China, Russia, Latin America, Iran, Hezbollah, and many other countries and movements world-wide. The Turkish government is clearly in decline, supporting those terrorist elements the west calls the ‘Syrian opposition’.

*

We drive once again to the camps. A few kilometers from Apaydin, there is a large camp hosting Syrian civilians. In this one there are women and children in open view; elderly people are chatting in front of the tents.

According to the official media communiqué of the Governor of Hatay – Celalettin Lekesiz – 17 months has passed since the refugees began entering Turkish territory. 44,000 were accepted. Syrians with valid passport can enter Turkey for three months without a visa and extend their stay for 5 months. Syrians without valid passport or those who overstay are taken to the refugee camps. No refugees are allowed to wear military uniforms… 1980 refugees have been treated for gun-related injuries. 157 criminal cases accusing Syrian citizens have been field in the last 17 months.

The plush pastoral landscape around Hatay is charged with fear and uncertainty.

*

We are driving at an illegal 160km/h on the highway so that I can catch my evening flight to Istanbul. Levent is my friend of many years and this report was supposed to be signed by both of us, but at the last moment he decides that it would not be safe for him: over one thousand people in Turkey are already in prison, some tortured. The victims are nationalist (anti-western) military officers and generals, journalists and intellectuals. Levent is a young Turkish intellectual. After some hesitation he offers his theory:

“I don’t see all this as a regional problem. Syria is just one pawn in a tremendous game that is destroying the nation-states worldwide. The US and the west are intervening in Iraq, Libya and now in Syria with absolute impunity. Syria and Iran are two obstacles to absolute control over the Middle East by predominantly western business interests. It is all about control of the natural resources, of the people, the armies… World government project, with the west giving orders exclusively.”

Levent sees the Turkish government as a major and negative regional player: “The present Turkish leadership is clearly under the influence of western imperialist powers. But the way it behaves – is all very blurry and designed to confuse people. On the world stage, the Turkish government tries to portray itself as decisively anti-Israeli, but just look at the military arrangements between the two countries, including the air force base in Konya which is still helping to train Israeli military pilots!”

Returning from what could be described as the relatively new front of a global western neo-colonial war, it would be easy to feel disheartened. Just a few weeks before Hatay I was filming at the border regions of East Kivu, DR Congo, a country which has already lost near ten million people. The screws of global control appear to be tightening. Human life seems to be becoming worthless, and the propaganda of the western mass media almost absolute.

But as I drove, I thought about Turkey, and the more I thought about it, the more iI felt convinced that Turkey is not just some depressing place between the west and the Middle East – another staunch ally of the forces ruling the planet. Its population is well educated, well informed and fiull of life. To me, many Turks have been a great source of inspiration.

Many Turkish people are resisting and by doing so they are willingly risking their lives. They are fighting, with pride and determination, and lots of them are ending up in prisons for their beliefs; for speaking and writing the truth about the forces that have been destroying the region and the world. I find it natural to lean on many of them, as they were leaning on me, translating my books, constantly inviting me to speak, asking me to join the struggle. As we approached the airport of Adana, I suddenly felt more hope and more strength to continue my work than before this short but revealing journey.

Makdissi: UN Secretary General’s Statement on Unilateral Ceasefire by the Syrian Side Incomplete

Makdissi: UN Secretary General’s Statement on Unilateral Ceasefire by the Syrian Side Incomplete.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TAXUOr_nec

Damascus, (SANA)_Foreign and Expatriates Ministry Spokesman, Jihad al-Makdissi said that the UN Secretary General’s statement in Paris yesterday on the implementation of unilateral ceasefire by the Syrian side during his talks in New York, and that the Syrian side has asked him about what is next is incomplete and contained half of the truth regarding what has really happened during the talks and here is the whole story:

The UN Secretary General proposed implementing unilateral ceasefire and, in the same session, the Syrian side informed him that the Syrian Arab Republic has already implemented this proposal twice. The first time was during the work of the Arab Observers Mission headed by al-Dabi and the second one was on April 12th in the presence of the UN Observers Mission to Syria and in line with Mr. Kofi Annan’s six-point plan.

In both times, the armed groups exploited the commitment of the Syrian government to expand their armed deployment in some areas and since then human losses among military and civilians doubled due to the terrorist operations carried out by these groups in violation of the truce.

In light of what has been said, we agreed with the UN Secretary General on that the truce aims at creating appropriate atmosphere for the desired political dialogue and not to undermine Syria’s stability and exploit the commitment of the Syrian state. Therefore we asked the Secretary General to send his envoys to the countries concerned, especially Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey which fund, harbor, train and arm the armed groups to ensure these countries’ commitment to refrain from such acts, since they have influence on the armed groups, and to use their power to halt violence by the other side.

He added that the Syrian side asked to be informed on the outcome of the UN Secretary General’s efforts to discuss them with its leadership and make necessary arrangements.

MOSCOW, (SANA) – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, stressed on Wednesday that Russia will defend the principles of the UN Charter regarding solving the crisis in Syria and settling the Iranian nuclear file.

Russia Today website reported Lavrov as saying before the Russian Federation Council that arbitrary interpretations of the general principles of the UN Charter such as preventing the use and threat of force, resorting to peaceful solutions to pending issues, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries and non-interference in the internal affairs constitute a threat to the global system.

Lavrov added that Russia will continue its persistence on the sovereignty of law in the international issues, pointing out that his country is exerting efforts to search for means to solve crisis in Syria and the Iranian nuclear file.

The Russian Foreign Minister expressed Moscow’s readiness for holding the second meeting of the action group on Syria at any time.

“We are ready to hold this meeting at any time but we realize that it should be prepared to,” said Lavrov, noting that when Russia last August proposed holding a meeting for the group to stress the necessity to implement Geneva statement and most importantly for the members to take upon themselves to influence the two parties to the conflict in Syria, its partners were not ready for that.

In the same context, Lavrov said that Syria and Turkey should engage into a direct dialogue to settle the situation after the incident which took place on the border early October.

He added that the Syrian side “is interested in regaining contact with Turkey”, expressing hope that Ankara too is ready to communicate with Damascus.

Lavrov noted that the UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, will formulate, after having visited Damascus, ideas for “settling the conflict” in the country based on Geneva statement.

“Brahimi visited the region and Damascus, and now is heading to the region again. Afterwards, he’ll formulate ideas that will be based, as he told me in New York, on the main points of Geneva meeting, which is absolutely correct,” said Lavrov.

On the Iranian issue, the Russian Foreign Minister warned of the dangerous repercussions that would result from launching military strikes against Iran, hoping that there would be no such strikes.

He considered that such developments, if happened, “would be the nearest way towards undermining the efforts seeking to settle all the issues regarding the Iranian nuclear file.”

The Regional Leadership of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party (BASP) stressed that the battle in which the Syrian armed forces are currently engaged is the decisive battle for saving the national and pan-Arab project given that the majority of Arab regimes have become tools for the anti-Arab Nation project advocates.

In a statement on Thursday on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of Tishreen (October) Liberation War, the Regional Leadership said the anniversary revives the feelings of national pride in victory which led to the emergence of the culture of resistance and its liberational impact on the Arab land.

“Our armed forces’ battle today against the enemy which, along with its tools, have become inside our homeland, is the battle of saving Syria which has always been the hallmark in the region’s history and geography,” said the statement.

QUOTATION FROM THE IMMORTAL PRESIDENT HAFEZ AL-ASSAD
« You have fought glorious battles in the October War, and later in the Golan War as well as in all battles and encounters you have waged. In your great steadfastness and heroic fighting, your heads have always been high in a way that Arabs throughout the Arab Homeland, from the Ocean to the Gulf, took pride in you. You became an example to be followed and cited after you have destroyed the enemy’s arrogance and taught him unforgettable lessons on land and in air ».

The victory on 6 October 1973 War was one of the many achievements led by the Immortal Leader . Heroic battles occurred on the 6th, and 7th of October 1973, under the leadership of the immortal president . It inaugurated the dawn of a new era and created a promising turning point in the life of the Arab Nation . But then as today ,the “Arabs” prefered to stay the loyal servants of Zionism.October War represented an historical opportunity to regroup Arab ranks and unite them..
.Quneitra, a town in the Golan Heights occupied by the Zionist entity , was liberated after the ceasefire of 1973 and the Immortal President Hafez al-Assad raised the Syrian flag over the liberated Quneitra on June 26, 1974 as the first Arab territory liberated from the Israhellies.
