Activists from the European Solidarity Front for Syria are organising a mass demonstration in Rome on 15th June 2013. The European Solidarity Front for Syria was founded in early 2013 by young activists in a number of European countries. To date, the organisation has branches in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Ireland, Greece, Finland and more. The ESFS is challenging the line from mainstream media outlets on the conflict in Syria.
A statement, commemorating Syrian Independence day, on the ESFS’ Facebook page said:
“Today on the day of the anniversary of the Independence of Syria we announce that we organize for the 15 of June the first big manifestation of the European Solidarity Front for Syria. It will be in Rome the 15 of June All the people that loves Syria has to come.. let’s start to book flights We can’t anymore wait and this is why we have to shout all together “Nobody can touch Syria!”
“Everybody to Rome!””
The Front has been well received and their activities can be followed on their Facebook page.
