A Golden Gift for Ghalioun
To an almost total extent, the Western world’s news about Syria’s war is written by one set of participants, with the corporate media constantly citing difficult-to-verify reports from “activists” aligned with the opposition Syrian National Congress (SNC). The case of little Sari Saoud is no exception He was just another of many, many victims of the Syrian conflict. In particular, he’s one of the many snuffed out with inhuman tactics in the ongoing propaganda war to secure a Western “humanitarian” crusade against Damascus.
The story as presented is golden – the snipers shot 9-year-old Sari inside Homs, the rebel city…

The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces said that the terrorist explosion which targeted the National Security headquarters in Damascus on Wednesday morning while a meeting of a number of ministers and senior security officials was taking place is a new criminal escalation carried out by the hireling tools that are implementing foreign plots.

A statement by the General Command mentioned that Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense Gen. Dawood Abdullah Rajiha and Deputy Minister of Defense Gen. Asef Shawkat were martyred in the explosion and other attendees were injured.

While paying tribute to its heroic martyrs, the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces stresses resolution to decisively eliminating the criminal and murder gangs and chasing them out of their rotten hideouts wherever they are until clearing the homeland of their evils,” the statement said.

It added that whoever thinks that by targeting some leaders they could twist Syria’s arms is “deluded”, affirming that “Syria, people, army and leadership, is today more determined to counter terrorism with all its forms and cutting off the hand of whoever thinks to harm Syria’s security.”

The General Command concluded its statement by saying that “this coward terrorist act will but increase the Armed Forces men’s determination to clear the homeland of the armed terrorist groups and preserve Syria’s dignity and the sovereignty of its independent national decision.

Syria: HRC’s Politicized Decisions Gave Terrorists Green Light to Kill Innocents
Syria sent a detailed report to UN Secretary General in which it underlined that the politicized decisions adopted by the Human Rights’ Council and other organizations against Syria have given armed terrorist groups the green light to go ahead in killing the Syrian people.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry refuted the allegatioForeign ministryns included in the Human Rights’ Council decision No. 19/22, asserting that the continuation in resorting to a biased, unprecedented approach by the Council will not contribute to achieving a peaceful solution to the crisis led by Syria, but it aims at complicating the situations and covering the support offered by Arab, regional and western states to the armed groups, SANA news agency reported.
“Time has come for the Human Rights’ Council and those who mislead it to abandon the accusations pointed to Syria and to direct these accusations to their right place; the armed terrorist groups which perpetrate acts of killing against the Syrian people, target the national interests in addition to its ignorance to the difficult impacts of 60 bulks of sanctions and coercive measures imposed by states that claim commitment to the Syrian people’s rights,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry expressed the Syrian Government’s hope that Ban Ki-Moon would be neutral and objective when dealing with the situation in Syria in a way that reflects the reality and contributes to reaching a solution based on the national dialogue among the Syrians, away from the foreign intervention in the Syrian internal affairs where some countries seek to prolong the scope of the crisis and destabilize the situation, SANA said.
The report called for putting an end to the intervention of those countries in the Syrian domestic affairs and stop supplying the armed terrorist groups, which target the Syrians, with money, weapons, media and political coverage.
The Ministry concluded its report by saying that Syria has cooperated with the UN Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan and carried out a lot of the sides enlisted in his 6-point plan at a time when the armed groups and their supporters seek to foil his plan and obstruct the mission of the UN observers.

Iran Unveils Contacts with Syrian Opposition, Urges Saudi to Avoid Suppression
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that Iran has already established contacts with a large segment of the Syrian opposition.  mehmanparast
“On the Syria issue, we have made all our efforts to establish security and stability in the region and we are ready to use all our capacities in this regard,” he said in his weekly press conference in Tehran on Tuesday.
He described Iran’s role in the settlement of the regional crises as undeniable, and said, “Due to this fact, (UN-Arab League Special Envoy on Syria) Kofi Annan made his second trip to Tehran to use Iran’s viewpoints on the settlement of the crisis in Syria.”
Voicing Iran’s readiness to mediate meetings between the Syrian government and opposition, Mehmanparast said, “We believe that the demands of the opposition and of those who are pursuing some rights in Syria should be raised in proper conditions, but without the interference of the foreign forces and imposition of their formulae, and the necessary measures should also be adopted proportionate to demands and based on what the majority of people want.”
He blasted the western states for their meddling in Syria, and said, “Certain trans-regional countries attempt to lead the situation in Syria towards a civil war or crisis which is not acceptable.”
On Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi announced Tehran’s readiness to hold meetings with the Syrian dissidents in a move to facilitate talks between the opposing parties in the Muslim country.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to have meetings with Syrian dissidents to invite them to Iran in a bid to prepare and facilitate the ground for talks between the Syrian dissidents and government,” Salehi told reporters.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also called on Saudi Arabia to avoid suppression of people and meet its nation’s demands, warning that suppression will further complicate the crisis in the Muslim state.

“We hope that the Saudi officials, too, listen to the voice of a part of the nation who have some demands and meet their demands by taking proper actions.” Suppression and the arrest of people will further complicate Saudi Arabia’s problems, he stated.

Foreign and Expatriates Ministry spokeman, Dr. Jihad Makdissi, stressed what happened in al-Treimseh village in the countryside of Hama province was not a massacre but a military operation and armed clashes between the army forces and armed groups that do not believe in dialogue or the political solution.
In a press conference held on Sunday, Makdissi said the army forces did not use any heavy weapons upon entering the village in response to the resident’s pleads, adding that damage due to the clash was caused to only five buildings in which the terrorists were positioned along with their weapons.
Makdissi: Annan’s Letter Is Hasty and Not Based on Reality
He referred to a letter received by Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem form the UN envoy Kofi Annan regarding the events in al-Treimseh, which Makdissi described as “hasty to the furthest extent” and not based on the reality of what happened in the village.

The spokesman said that al-Moallem for his part sent a reply letter to Annan which included general points in relation to what happened and asked for the letter to be circulated to the Security Council’s Head and the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Makdissi added that the letter read that armed terrorist groups overran the village, were stationed in it, terrorized the citizens and set up leadership bases, weapons storehouses and places for torturing the kidnapped and launched attacks against a number of law enforcement forces points on the outskirts of the village, “which necessitated response and clashes.”
Makdissi noted that al-Treimseh is a small village of 1 km2, dismissing tendentious media claims that the army used 150 tanks in such a narrow space as “belittling of people’s minds”.
He explained that “the army and law enforcement forces had entered al-Treimseh last January in response to pleads by the residents and departed with honor after consolidating security in it.”
“Some people in the village who are from the opposition intellectually or who are dissatisfied with the crisis in Syria rejected to be seized by terrorist groups with weapons storehouses and dens to abduct and torture people and take any demands off the track,” Makdissi added.
“However, the armed groups,” Makdissi continued, “again took hold of the village partially before taking full control of it to later establish weapons storehouses and turn the village into a base for terrorist acts and launching attacks against the army and law enforcement centers and the neighboring villages.”
The Foreign Ministry spokesman affirmed that the clashes with the gunmen inside al-Treimseh lasted only a few hours, reiterating that only five buildings were exposed to fire and that the army forces did not use any aircrafts, helicopters, tanks or artillery.
Talk on Using Heavy Weapons to Attack a 1 km2 Village “Totally Baseless”
Makdissi dismissed all talk on heavy weapons used to attack a 1 km2 village as “totally baseless”, stressing that only light weapons were used, the heaviest among them were RPG launchers, in addition to BMP carriers that are not tanks.

“The timing of claims on the use of heavy weapons is related to what is going on and the debate underway at the Security Council because they want an additional vitamin to get the better of the Russian prudent endeavors at the Council,” said Makdissi.
He made it clear that “what really happened was not an army attack on safe civilians but a military operation and armed clashes the army and law enforcement forces that are responsible according to the constitution for the protection of citizens and between well armed terrorist groups that believe in abduction, terrorism, killing and bombing and don’t believe in the political solution.”
He added that those groups have discarded all the initiatives sponsored by Annan to establish calm and move ahead with the political solution in Syria.
Makdissi said that the UN Supervision Mission in Syria (UNSMIS), including civilian and military experts, headed to the site with 11 vehicles and entered al-Treimseh village and are going back to the area today once again.
“Had it been a massacre, or had it not been a matter of defending the citizens and confronting armed groups that don’t believe in the political solution, we wouldn’t have allowed the mission to go there,” added Makdissi.
He referred to the statement of the UNSMIS spokesperson in which she said that the operation carried out by the Syrian Army seemingly targeted deserters’ houses and places for armed opposition members, and that the observers will return to the village on Sunday to continue their observations and investigations.
Makdissi said that “this affirms the credibility of the Syrian story that the damage in the village was caused to five buildings only which were used as bases for the armed groups’ attacks against the army forces, and as storehouses for highly sophisticated weapons as well as hideouts for torturing and killing the kidnapped.”
Makdissi indicated to articles published by New York Times and the French News Agency (AFP) in addition to the statements made by the UN observers, which all confirm that the clashes took place between the army forces and armed groups.
He said that the seized weapons included 45 machineguns, 13 Nato sniper rifles, 9 RPG launchers, 7 BKC machineguns, 3 mortars, 3 hand-made rockets, 14 pump-action rifles, 10 military pistols, 24 mortar shells, 32 RPG shells, 53 machinegun chargers, 30 sniper rifle chargers, 8 explosive devices, 10 grenades, 150 detonators, 1500 sniper rifle bullets, 5000 BKC machinegun bullets, 4200 machinegun bullets, 500 pistol bullets, 7 gas masks, 5 prism binoculars, 25 satellite wireless devices, 30 shields, in addition to materials for making explosive devices, explosives and large amounts of gunpowder, TNT templates, highly explosive C4 material, a field hospital and an amount of military equipment, stolen cars and registration licenses.
37 Gunmen and 2 Civilians Were Killed in the Operation
He added that 37 gunmen and 2 civilians were killed in the operation according to reliable sources and “the testimony of a venerable man who participated in burying the dead,” abstaining from naming the man because of fear for his life to be claimed by what he called “freedom’s advocates”.
Makdissi said that the majority of people are still noble while the minority are those who provide cover for those who defy the state and refuse the political solution.
He noted that the bodies which were filmed and broadcast belong to bearded men whose salafi affiliations are known.
“Whoever takes up arms against the state of those who do not believe in the political solution will be in confrontation with the army, while Syria’s doors are open to those who believe in the political solution and dialogue without any prohibitions,” said Makdissi.
“All that we want is faith in this homeland.” He added.
10500 Documented Violations of Annan’s Plan by Terrorist Groups
Makdissi pointed out that the number of documented violations of Annan’s plan that have been committed by the armed terrorist groups reached 10500, affirming that Syria sends daily to Anna a detailed letter on when and where these violations took place and the number of civilians and military members martyred due to them as well as how they can be verified.
Asked on whether the governmental forces accompanied the UN observer delegation who went to al-Treimseh, Makdissi said that “we reached an agreement with the observers which provides for our responsibility for their protection at their headquarters and during their tours, but whenever they wanted to enter an area that is hot, we would warn them of that and tell them that it is controlled by the gunmen and it would be their responsibility if they decided to enter it, and that is how they entered the village.”
Regarding the opposition’s escalation and attack on Annan, Makdissi said “Had the opposition had faith in the political solution, it would have joined all the initiatives launched for dialogue, whether the Russian or the Chinese initiatives which we agreed on, but it discarded all the initiatives, which is a boyish behavior when dealing with a homeland’s file.”
He added that “We are not surprised at the opposition’s doubting of the credibility of Annan, which the success of whose six-point plan on easing the tension and violence and shifting to the stage of the political solution led by the Syrians serves our interest.”
“We wish Annan success,” Makdissi said, adding that it is natural that in the process of any political diplomatic work that wrong information or misunderstanding would occur, ” and that is why we have a national committee with full authorization with no bureaucracy that regularly meets with the UNSMIS to overcome obstacles and look into means of pushing Annan’s plan forward.”
On the continued booby-trapped car explosions targeting some areas, Makdissi said that ensuring full security under such a crisis is not possible, citing as examples some countries with high intelligence, economic and financial capabilities which nevertheless could not prevent tragic events such as September 11th in New York or the July 7th in London.
“This however does not justify the existence of terrorism and we are exerting all efforts possible to prevent it 100 out of 100,” he added.
Combating Terrorism Is an International Collective Effort
Makdissi stressed that combating terrorism is an international collective effort and it cannot be achieved individually when there are countries that openly fund, shelter and host terrorists.
He added that “the state is constitutionally responsible for protecting the country, fostering dialogue and reaching out hand to citizens notwithstanding they might have been misled, or involved in carrying weapons or pushed.
“Although we are living in a world that is unfair, we should continue working for our homeland, and our weapon in this is the people’s unity around the leadership’s wisdom and the reality of the situation on ground,” Makdissi added.
On the UN Secretary General’s statements asking China to pressure on Syria, Makdissi said “Ban Ki-moon is the UN Secretary General with whom all international pressures rest, so it is natural that his statements would be unfriendly and not based on the reality.”
“However, what matters is the Security Council where we have allies and friends and we also have an international public opinion that work as much as possible to alleviate these sharp stances through shedding light on the reality of our situation, in addition to sending the UN mission to all places,” Makdissi continued, adding that” after all, if things do not reflect reality that is because we live in an unjust world.”

On Brig. Gen. Munaf Tlas’s going out from Syria, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said “The legal situation of Gen. Tlas is that he is an officer in the Syrian Arab Army who chose to leave the country without permission and who knows that the motto of the Syrian Arab Army is “Homeland, Honor, Loyalty”, and I cannot speak on his behalf or about his political viewpoints.”
Makdissi denied what has been attributed to him regarding the Palestinians living in Syria as “completely untrue”, explaining that what he has said on his personal profile on the net was that “the Syrian law should be respected by all the Syrians before the guests” and that “the country’s security is a red line”.
He added that he asked not to offend any nationality not meaning the Palestinian nationality in particular which he described as “part of the Syrian national fabric”.
Makdissi said that he was referring to an issue related to arresting groups of different Arab nationalities including militants or members who make explosive devices and bombs and booby trap cars.
“I am not surprised that some interpret what I did not even say, but all respect to all,” said Makdissi, adding that most of the Arabs visiting Syria are honest people who believe in the Syrian homeland, being their secure shelter.

HAMA, (SANA) – Four members of the terrorist groups that were active in the town of al-Treimseh said that the terrorists – who included non-Syrians of Arab nationalities – spread across the town before the army entered it, and that this was based on orders they received to attack law-enforcement forces and prevent civilians from going to work.
In confessions televised by the Syrian TV, terrorist Hikmat Shihadeh al-Mustafa al-Younes, a local of al-Treimseh, said that he joined a group of 16 gunmen led by Manhal Darwish, and that they gathered in town along with around 250 gunmen.
He said that orders were given to them to attack law-enforcement forces checkpoint, preventing state employees from going to work, and forcing people to strike, but they were surprised when security forces arrived and they were ordered to prevent them from entering the town and fighting them.
Al-Younes said that he and his cohorts had assorted weapons including automatic rifles, sniper rifles, RPG launchers, and hand grenades, and that snipers were stationed on rooftops.
He said that the leader of his group was killed along with many gunmen in the clash with security forces, which lasted about an hour and a half, which is why he turned himself over when security forces instructed them to surrender via loudspeakers.
For his part, terrorist Sa’ed Darwsih, another local and a policeman, said that while he was spending vacation time in his home, several gunmen including a man called Saleh al-Sabaoui came and threatened to kill him and all his family if he returns to work, and they coerced him into joining them.
Darwish said the gunmen had been gathering in town for around 20 days, and that their numbers were between 250 and 300 and that they had planned to attack law-enfrocemtn checkpoints, block roads and impose a state of strike by force.
He said that on Thursday, they heard that the army was encircling the town, so they tried to escape but couldn’t, and then they received orders to attack the army and several of the gunmen died in the ensuing conflict while others were arrested, including Darwish.
Darwish confirmed that the terrorists had RPG launchers, machineguns, snipers, automatic rifles and explosive devices, adding that the leaders of the armed groups received money from Turkey and that there were Turks and Libyans among the ranks of these groups.
In turn, terrorist Rami Abdelsalam al-Darwish said that he was offered money to join an armed group led by Saleh al-Saba’awi a month ago, and that the al-Treimseh was crawling with more than 300 terrorists from out of town, including Libyan gunmen and one Turkish officer.
He said that a man from Jabal al-Zawiye area called Abu Talhat brought them money and weapons from Turkey, and that the weapons included machineguns, automatic rifles, RPG launchers, grenades, explosive devices and more.
He recounted how the army forces surrounded the town after the terrorists gathered in it, and how Abu Talhat ordered them to attack them, which resulted in al-Darwish’s arrest.
Similarly, terrorist Mohammad Sattouf, born in al-Treimseh in 1986, said that he was in charge of fabricating videos of protests and uploading them to Youtube.
Sattouf said the armed groups gathered in town 20 day ago to attack law-enforcement forces and ransack and burn government establishment, and that several attacks were carried out against law-enforcement checkpoints using car bombs, in addition to planting explosives on roads.
He said that the armed groups were ordered to engage the army forces and they followed those orders, with the clash continuing for around 90 minutes, during which Issa al-Ibrahim, the leader of Mohammad al-Fateh battalion which leads these groups, was killed.
Sattouf corroborate other terrorists’ testimonies that the gunmen who were in al-Treimseh numbered somewhere between 250 and 300, and that they were armed with various light and medium weapons including machineguns, rifles, sniper rifles, RPG launchers, hand grenades, and explosive charges which were made in a workshop set up in the town itself.
He said that a man referred to as Abu al-Zahra’a came to him with an altered video of al-Qbeir massacre which he filmed after he and his group committed the massacre, and that Abu al-Zahra’a forced Sattouf’s cousin Mufid Alloush at gunpoint to upload the altered video to al-Jazeera using the latter’s satellite internet connection.

Dr. Jihad Makdessi the Spokesman for the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said that what happened in Al Tremseh, , was not a massacre. it was a clash between the army and terrorist groups. He said those who were killed in al-Treimseh are from the terrorists whose number reached 37 and two civilians.
He stressed that the Syrian army has not used any heavy weapons in the area and used only personnel carriers and light weapons, adding that clashes between the law-enforcement personnel and the terrorists lasted only for few hours.
What really happend in Tremseh that is not even 1 km² big. And the military attack on the village and the fight between the the Army and the Terrorists was asserted today by Dr. Jihad Makdessi the Spokesman for the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry in a press conference held today in Damascus.
“Yesterday we received a letter from Mr. Kofi Annan addressed to the Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem. The least that can be said about this letter about what happened in Tremseh is that it did not rely on facts and as diplomatically as possible, we say that this letter was very rushed.”
“Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem send also a letter as an answer to Mr. Kofi Annan”
Makdessi said that armed terrorist groups overran the town and terrorized its people, adding that the terrorists launched attacks against the law-enforcement personnel from this town.
“An 11 vehicle integrated patrol, comprised of specialized military and civilian observers,
arrived in Treimseh. The UN Team plans to go back into Treimseh
on Sonday to continue their fact finding mission.”
“Government forces did not use planes, or helicopters, or tanks or artillery. The heaviest weapon used was an RPG (rocket propelled grenade),” Makdissi t o ld reporters at a news conference in Damascus.
The Foriegn Ministry Spokesman said: ” We had documented more than 10500 violations of Annan’s plan by the armed groups

UN Mission: Tremseh operation targeted armed rebels and Gunmen

The incident in the Syrian town of Tremseh actually targeted rebels and army defectors, says a UN investigation.

The findings contradict opposition claims of civilian killings by Syrian forces.

“A variety of weapons were found with the killed rebels”, the UN mission said.

A team of monitors visited the site of the killings on Saturday. After a preliminary examination they concluded that “the attack on Tremseh appeared targeted at specific armed groups and dens, mainly of army armed rebels and militants.”

However, the mission said the death toll was still unclear.

The UN monitors plan to return to the area and continue the investigation.

“Armed forces units on Thursday morning carried out a ‘special operation’ in Tremseh … that targeted the gatherings of terrorist group members,” said Syrian state

Syria, Tremseh Massacre: The Truth 14.07.2012 – Confessione terroristi (…

20120715-175337.jpg
20120715-175546.jpg

HAMA COUNTRYSIDE, (SANA)_ Tens of terrorists overrun the village of al-Treimseh in Hama Countryside yesterday, killing or wounding tens of Syrian civilians.

The terrorists, according to eye witnesses who appeared on Syrian TV to narrate the reality of events on the ground, ransacked, destroyed and burned scores of the village houses before the competent authorities arrive to the village.

Abo Arif al-Khalid, an eye witness from the targeted village, stated in a phone call to Syrian TV, that the village of al-Treimseh lived a nightmare when armed terrorist groups attacked it and opened random fire on its inhabitants and houses, killing more than 50 persons, and exploding houses, among which the house of his cousin.

A woman and her child were killed by the terrorists before the eyes of all the people there, added Abo Arif al-Khalid, regretting the absence of the Syrian Army or security personnel from the village.

”Had the Army or security personnel existed in the village, the terrorists wouldn’t have been able to overrun the village and perpetrate their massacres,” said Abo Arif al-Khalid with a crying voice.

The competent security units, in response to al-Treimseh inhabitants’ pleads, clashed with the terrorists, inflicting huge losses upon them, capturing scores of them, confiscating their weapons, among which Israeli-made machineguns.

3 security personnel were martyred during the clashes, according to SANA reporter in Hama.

Information Source: Phobia of Failed Conspiracy Drove Complicit Media into Hysteria of More Fabrications

Meantime, an information source blasted the news circulated by some bloody media outlets, like al-Jazeera and al-Arabyia, as a bid to manipulate public opinion against Syria and its people and as to bring foreign intervention in Syria on the eve of a UN Security Council session.

The source underscored that the phobia from the foiling of the conspiracy against Syria by some Zionist media channels, which are partners in the aggression against the Syrian People, led these media outlets into a hysterical situation, so that they disseminated lies and fabrications not to mention their old and out of place about Syrian geography scenes of events and demonstrations.

Syrian has been exposed to more than 16-month of terrorist attacks and booby-trapped suicide attacks by foreign-backed armed terrorist groups, which in part coordinate their attacks with some media outlets, especially once a UN session about Syria is to be or convened.
Four members of the terrorist groups that were active in the town of al-Treimseh said that the terrorists – who included non-Syrians of Arab nationalities – spread across the town before the army entered it, and that this was based on orders they received to attack law-enforcement forces and prevent civilians from going to work.

Latest Syria “Massacre” – Goebbelsesque Propaganda

Claim “UN blames regime forces for Syria massacre ,” admits “neither activists’ claims nor the videos could be independently verified.”
 by Tony Cartalucci

July 14, 2012 –  Surely if nothing “activists” have so far said about latest so-called “massacre,” in Tremseh, Syria can be verified, it is impossible to “blame” anyone for the alleged deaths that are said to have occurred. Nevertheless, the Associated Press, Reuters, AFP, and many other mainstays of the West’s corporate-run media machine ran with titles such as, “UN blames regime forces for Syria massacre” (AP), “Syrian regime condemned for Tremseh massacre” (Reuters), “Syria crisis: Tremseh ‘massacre’” (Guardian), and “Syria unrest: Kofi Annan shocked at Tremseh ‘atrocities’” (BBC).

Photo: Unarmed civilians? From the US State Department and outward through its tentacles across the corporate media, the so-called “Free Syrian Army” is continuously referred to interchangeably as “civilians” and “activists.” In reality they are heavily armed, foreign-backed, and include amongst their ranks a sizable proportion of foreign fighters – betraying the very name Free “Syrian” Army. Even by “activist” accounts however, the recent “massacre” in Tremseh, Syria appears to be in fact a battle militants lost, with the vast majority of the deaths being armed fighters, not civilians.

….

And even below these deceitful titles, clearly implicating the Syrian government and its security forces in what is portrayed as a callous act of mass murder against defenseless civilians, each report concedes, buried toward the end, that Tremseh was in fact the site of a vicious battle between heavily armed NATO-backed “Free Syrian Army” militants and the Syrian military. Under the deceitful headlines and beyond the first several paragraphs purposefully loaded with manipulative Goebbelsesque propaganda, what the Western corporate-media is actually reporting is terrorist forces being defeated by the Syrian military in violence growing SOLELY because the West continues to funnel cashincreasingly advanced arms, and evenforeign fighters into the country.

BBC even went as far as literally admitting, after offering up another “Houla-style” narrative, that (emphasis added):

…later, activists told the AFP news agency that rebel fighters had attacked an army convoy, but were beaten back and many were killed in a counter-attack.

“At this stage, though we do not yet have the final count, the number of civilians killed by shelling is not more than seven,” said Jaafar, an activist from the anti-regime Sham News Network.

“The rest were members of the Free Syrian Army.”

So despite even the “activists” themselves admitting they attacked the Syrian military first and simply lost the subsequent battle which appears to have led back to their base of operations in Tremseh, the Western media decided to spin it as a calculated, mass murder of civilians, asthe Guardian puts it, “timed” for “boosting morale of Assad’s armed supporters and scuppering attempts to find a political solution,”  quoting a member of the overtly Western-backed “Syrian National Council” (SNC).

Perhaps the most ridiculous display put on however, was performed by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who claimed, “accounts of the attack on the village of Tremseh, including the use of artillery, tanks and helicopters, provide indisputable evidence that the regime deliberately murdered innocent civilians.” Clinton, unhindered by the fact that she herself used the word “accounts” rather than “documented evidence,” claims that the incident, described by even the rebels as a pitched battle between Syrian troops and FSA militants, was a deliberate mass murdering of civilians.

Clinton is attempting to solicit sympathy from the public over the defeat of her funded, armed, and propped up front of sectarian extremists, the FSA. The FSA who consist of Libyan mercenaries (and here), extremists fresh back from killing US and British troops in Iraq now employing their bombing tactics against the people of Syria (and here), and members of Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood who were approached as early as 2007 by the US, then under the Bush administration, to begin creating a violent front with which to overthrow the Syrian government.

These are militants who received Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) commander Abdul Hakim Behaj, and secured from him weapons, cash, and fighters despite to this very day, LIFG being listed by Hillary Clinton’s own US State Department, as a listed Foreign Terrorist Organization (#28) – thus making US funding and support for the FSA a violation of its own anti-terrorism laws.

The aim Clinton hopes to achieve is to stampede the latest US-British backed UN resolution through the Security Council, by shaming Russia and China for defending Syria regarding atrocities it never committed. The trick is to rush this propaganda ploy through before the facts of what actually occurred in Tremseh emerge.

A Threat to World Peace

There is indeed a grievous threat to world peace. It is not the Syrian security forces attempting to restore order for the vast majority of its people not engaged in violence and foreign-funded subversion. It is the West, particularly the governments and corporate-financier interests of the US, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, along with their proxies not only employing a campaign of willful deceit to manipulate public perception, but demonstratively providing weapons, cash, and political support for terrorists they themselves have asked their populations for the last decade to shed their blood and treasure fighting in the so-called “War on Terror.”

As many others have repeatedly said, it is not that the Syrian people, or any other people around the world don’t deserve a better lot in life, it is the fact that this violence in Syrian unfolding now most definitely won’t lead to a better lot. It is a deception conducted by foreign powers seeking regional hegemony merely couched within rhetoric of “human rights,” “freedom,” and “democracy.” It is an orchestrated deception costing thousands of lives on both sides, and as seen in Libya, will leave the nation shattered, divided, destitute, and at the complete mercy of the West’s corporate-financier interests.

File:Special exposition, Holocaust Museum, D.C. IMG 4789.JPG

Image: A particularly relevant exhibit at the Washington D.C. Holocaust Museum. President Obama, has used the museum as a backdrop to set the stage for the continuation of Wall Street and London’s own crimes against humanity. Students of history however, will understand that Hitler’s Nazis weren’t pioneers of genocide and global domination, but merely clumsy imitators inspired by what the Anglo-Americans were already in the process of perfecting.

….

Joseph Goebbels, a Nazi propagandist whose deception laid the foundation of Adolf Hitler’s support, enabling him to carry out his vastly destructive campaign of military aggression stretching out across Europe, into Russia, and deep into North Africa and the Middle East, is remembered as a criminal war propagandist – the embodiment of the dangers of state propaganda. Others who assisted him were convicted during the Nuremberg trials for war crimes, crimes against humanity, crimes against peace, and conspiracy to wage aggressive war -many were given lengthy jail terms, some some sentenced for life, some sentenced to death.

What the Western media is doing, and above all, what US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is promoting, is without a doubt criminal – with a historical precedent already set leveling serious charges and penalties against such intolerable activities. Just because a government with the perception of legitimacy claims something is true, that a war is necessary, that its intentions are good – doesn’t mean that it is so – for every brutal imperialist throughout history has in one way or another attempted to dress its naked military aggression, subjugation, and exploitation toward others with good intentions and just causes.

TlasUnsurprising was the departure of the unfaithful Colonel Manaf Tlass probably to Paris among those who know him as well as the parties of the Syrian regime. This is due to being excluded from his military missions as the leader of Group 105 in the Presidential Guard since a way long duration. All of his family members departed Syria as well: his father Colonel Mostafa Tlass (the head of the Ministry of Defense for 30 years), his brother Firas (the businessman who transferred his work to Dubai, his wife Tala (who left the school she was directing), and his sons.
Reportedly, the dispute between him and the president started when he failed to mediate between the government and the militias in the Rastan, Homs, to where the roots of his family are related. It is also reported that Tlass refused encountering the militias in Baba Amro, and he resented the President’s disapproval to his demand of promotion. And then he left Syria, actually since the beginning of April, noting that the Syrian authorities were aware of that.

Other stories mentioned that both the French and the Israeli intelligence were involved in “smuggling” him. The French role was clear since the French Foreign Minister boastfully announced Tlass’s dissent in the recent conference for the Friends of Syria in Paris asserting that he is coming to France… yet the Israeli role might be surprising and excluded because Colonel Manaf (the friend of President Assad since childhood), as well as his father General Mostafa Tlass (the companion of late President Hafez Assad) belong to a family who was a major part in establishing the modern Syria; which represents the stronghold of the resistance to the western Zionist plan in the region.

NahidaThis is what is known in public… and just for those who still don’t know Manaf’s sister, the diplomatic figure in the family… Yet when they know her, they must be aware of what is being prepared under the table!
She is Mrs. Nahida Tlass ‘Ojja, the well-known billionaire from all the French classy people, as well as political, cultural, artistic, and scientific figures. She has been living in France since the 1980s, when her husband, the Saudi-Syrian billionaire died after he gathered his wealth from selling French weapons to Al-Saud’s country, gaining a commission of about 7% as was known in public.
At the same time, Mrs. ‘Ojja is among the “vaguest personas” as described by the French daily “Le Monde”, despite hosting most of the “eminent” French media members, on the levels of television, journalism, and others…
Nahida, born in Aleppo in 1959, was once the news of the hour among the French media, especially in the “Libération” newspaper, when she was the paramour of the French Foreign Minister “Roland Dumas” during the governance of President François Mitterand. The couple faced a heavy scandal concerning her contribute to fund his parliamentary candidacy campaign in his province. On Dumas’s side, he accused the weapons lobby, as well as the American-Zionist lobby for fabricating such accusations due to his trends in his foreign policies in which he aimed at being closer to the Arabs, especially when he motivated the French President to welcome the President of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Yasser Arafat, in the Elysée Palace.

She also caught the media’s lights by her “fanciful” dinner parties to which she invites the most majestic French and European personas such as: Dominique de Villepin who celebrated his 50th birthday on her table, and Nicolas Sarkouzy who was used to visit her before he became a president…
Not to mention, French media outlets were also concerned with her “charitable” generosity on the fancy Parisian clubs under her pretext of loving the French culture and arts such as the Louvre Museum, the échecs club, and the friends’ assembly… she was also known as the “protector” of such institutions which she granted hundreds of thousands Euros.
This led the observers of her deeds to raise an important question that: why isn’t she such generous with the Palestinian cause… or even with the poor people in her country?

All of what we mentioned previously seems secondary in this article. Perhaps Mrs. ‘Ojja was building close relationships in order to benefit her country. It is noteworthy that she carries a diplomatic Syrian passport…

…But what if we knew that Mrs. Nahida, the daughter of the man who served as a Minister of Defense along thirty years in the country that was able to resist the American-Western power and the Zionist colonialism, is closely related to the prophets of Zionism in France and the supporters of its entity?

She started with love, and continued with friendship and exchanging opinions, until she reached the mutual business…
“Le Monde” mentioned in an article published in November 2006 that Mrs. ‘Ojja had loved the French Jewish informative Franz-Olivier Giesbert (according to wikipedia) for four years during the 1990s. Giesbert, working as the chief and the author of the introduction of the “Le Point” magazine, vowed his words to defend the Zionist entity. He contributes to the campaign of Demonization of Iran, especially the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for saying that it is a must that the Zionist entity will vanish one day.Alexander Adler

Later on, she chose another Jewish person, who also supports the Zionist entity, to be her adviser concerning the Middle Eastern affairs. He is the Masonic journalist and author Alexander Adler who shifted from the Left party to the pro-Bush Atlantic policy. He was also the vice-president of the CRIF, the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France.

She later chose another Jewish novelist from Boulogne origins this time. He was Mark Hatler, the Zionist peace-claimer who is well-known for writing lies (even about escaping from the Holocaust to be its sponsor and Mark Hatlersponsored by it) so that she opened the Damascene doors in front of him, mainly on-board her personal plane directly to the presidential palace. He, in person, met the Syrian President in 2007! (Source: Rue 89). He also met during his visit the Mufti of Damascus, and the wife of Michel Kilo, the Syrian imprisoned antagonist at that time, which also opened another door for kilo’s Zionist relationships.

He was always repeating that: “The Syrian President must be rescued from his Persian tendency.”
Although most of the Jews in Paris are anti-Zionism, Mrs. ‘Ojja’s surrounding is crowded with Zionists. She is a friend of “Nurbir Billat”, a TV informative who wanahidas born in Algeria during the French occupation, and Pual-Le Solitzaire, a Roman novelist. She also knows Dominique Straus-Kahn, the former Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and the present wanted by justice.

The worst among all what was mentioned, according to the “Le Monde”, is that Mrs. Nahida had asked to meet the Israeli President Shimon Peres, and did so, but still the settings are unknown. But the daily mentioned that she was so generous in Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. It is a hospital established by a number of Zionist women since 1912; with the beginning of Zionist settlement. It is noteworthy that this hospital received the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon upon his 2006 coma. She also says that she grants money to the Pasteur-Weizmann Institution which represents the scientific participation between the French Medical Institution and its Israeli counterpart.
But after knowing all what is mentioned above, why do we exclude the Israeli intelligence role in Manaf’s departure from Syria?

There is no doubt that those information (about this woman that was supposed to serve, along with her family, and using her money and relationships, the just cases in her nation) aren’t but what appear on the surface, and what is still hiding is much more important. Perhaps she fell in the Zionist trap instead, or chose to be in such position.
It is certain that what is still hidden will not reveal but a simple role of the Israeli intelligence role in Manaf’s departure from Syria.
Today, some of the rich Syrian Families gather in the French capital to rewrite the future of Syria. Those families are the most of whoever got benefits from the Assad’s regime. But from the introduction, this future doesn’t seem but having the Zionist tendency…
Thanks God that those families don’t have enough abilities to change this future!

Spokesperson for the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Jihad Makdissi ‘s interview to the Lebanese tv channel Al Jadeed

Spokesperson for the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Jihad Makdissi said in an interview to the Lebanese tv channel Al Jadeed that executing Annan’s plan in Syria is in the hands of the international community, and some keys to the solution are with Arab capitals. He also stressed Syria’s complete commitment to Annan’s plan, saying that there is a special Syrian committee dealing with the UN and pushing for the political solution away from bureaucracy. However, the issues are complex and the solution is not solely in Syria.

Makdissi added “there is some kind of media loss. Annan’s six points cannot be changed. The meeting between President Assad and Mr. Annan was not a summit but a complementary meeting to follow up on their latest discussions regarding the implementation of the said plan. He further clarified that the plans calls for stopping the violence from all parties involved, and not only the Syrian government, as the issue is a process and not a button to click”.

Dr. Makdissi further said that “each party stresses the points that are suitable from their point of view. The meetings taking place in Tehran and Geneva and elsewhere aim to encourage people to talk in order to reach a political solution. No one can impose what defines a political solution. The Syrian government can change circumstances in Syria in accordance with the people’s needs, and not as imposed by this king or that prince. We cannot jump to a solution. I invite everyone to the table of dialogue.”

He also said that there are specific channels to deal any misunderstanding or disputes between Syria and Lebanon. The Syrian embassy in Beirut deals with such matters. There are weapons entering Syrian lands, and patience is required regarding what is happening on the borders. Syria is not accusing anyone, and we hope that Lebanon will stay as it has always been, and not turn into a platform that antagonizes Syria.”

Tlass and the NATO, who deceived who .. Secrets of the US escalation, and the Syrian-Iranian maneuvers..?

Tlass and the NATO, who deceived who .. Secrets of the US escalation, and the Syrian-Iranian maneuvers..?

Many wondered why Clinton has threatened Russia and China, on what did she build her position? and according to Western intelligence sources, in the talks before Geneva meeting, the US negotiator offered the Russians that Washington would consider the Syrian opposition as “Terrorist organizations”, and put pressure on its allies to stop arming the gangs in return of a Russian cooperation in Afghanistan, and a Russian pressure on Iran to help in the Afghan problem, then the Russians and Americans agree on launching the peace process in the Middle East and head for truce, but the Russians wanted to separate the files, as the Russian negotiator said: in Syria, your struggle is with Assad, and we do not support Assad, but we seek to prevent the expansion of the conflict into a bigger war that all will lose in it, specially since the “world economy” is unstable.. And according to the French source, the US resented the Russian response, yet even considered it as a threat that all will lose in this war, but the damaged ones are the countries that suffer economical crisis, pointing to the US and EU economy.

The legend of “Zero Hour”..

According to the source, the US side decided deliver a message to Russia, saying that the situation in Syria is  worrying and will not develop into war, but it might explode from within, and the US wanted to prove to Russia that president Assad does not have the lead on the ground, for this reason US planned for a security operation (Zero Hour) during the so-called “Friends of Syria” conference, so that quality operations will be done during the conference, so that Washington will preempted Tokyo talks about the Afghanistan file to put pressure on the Russian and Iranian positions and extort them in regard of the Syrian file. And in cooperation with the French intelligence, they have chosen Manaf Tlass as a “scapegoat” to escalate in Syria, as the US decided that the next hit for Syria will be among the ranks of the presidential guards, which are the strike forces for Syria..

Tlass, a French scapegoat for Washington..

Tlass informed that “Zero Hour” is near, so the US wanted a “Zero Hour” in case it manage put pressure on the Russian position during Tokyo talks, and if it will fail, it will be a new pressure factor, it had proved ability to move in Syria enough to make clashes between the presidential guards even for 5 minutes. US and France acted with Tlass on the principle of (if we throw the dough to the wall and did not stick.. it will make a mark), and after the attack on Syria news (Ikhbariah) building, they said to Tlass it is a training to check the alternatives of broadcast that Syria have, as in “Zero Hour” we will stop the broadcast of all the Syrian channels and destroy them, and we have succeeded in the test by hitting (Ikhbaria) building, ofcourse the yellow media (Aljazeera and her sisters) started accusing defectors from the presidential guards in hitting the channel’s building, and the next phase will be waging attacks on the presidential guards units, and according to the source, none of the Syrian terrorists accepted participating in this attack, as according to the terrorists (a Sheep attacking a group of Lions), so they sent Arab mercenaries who are unaware of the dangers of fighting units of the presidential guards, and they have sacrificed some of the terrorists just so the media will say that rebellion began within the ranks of the presidential guards.. Tlass, according to the source, was informed to move during “Zero Hour” making him believe that there is more than one rebellion, and that there will be military operations that justify his moving of his military units, and there will be no Syrian media in “Zero Hour”.. The source add: What happened so that Tlass escaped one day before “Zero hour” and had fled to France through Turkey, did Tlass realize that the French deceived him and presented him as a scapegoat for the US..?

“Zero Hour” begins..

The work of “Friends of Syria” conference began, or as it must be described “Friends of the terrorists in Syria”, and Clinton threatened both Russia and China with a high tone, but instead of receiving news that Assad is unable control the ground, every body was surprised with the news of the Syrian Arab army purging Douma, and instead of defections within the ranks of the presidential guards, there were defections within the ranks of the terrorist groups, and it was clear for the US that some of those mistaken to be officers fleeing the Syrian forces, they were spies for the Syrian intelligence between the ranks of the terrorist groups, and the US realized that all its efforts went in vain, and the source wonder: Why Tlass had fled, and did the Syrian intelligence really raided his residence one day before “Zero Hour”?, the source add: Is it possible that Washington was unable bring about any tension within the ranks of the presidential guards or close to its units during the conference of “Friends of Syria”?

The Syrian “Zero hour”..

The source say: There might be a Russian-Syrian intelligence cooperation, as what happened is beyond the abilities of the Syrian intelligence service, and the message delivered to the conference of the so-called “Friends of Syria”, came opposite to what the US wished and planned..

The source add: Tehran performed military exercises in anticipation of Tokyo conference regarding the Afghanistan file, and according to the source, it is the fist time that Iran perform offensive exercises rather than defensive ones, and the source say: for the first time in the history of Iran, missiles are launched from various locations toward one target, which is a model of a US base, as all the previous exercises were from one location to various targets, the source add: even Syria surprised the world when anticipated Annan’s visit to Damascus and Tehran with unprecedented maneuvers in the history of Syria, as for the first time, Syria perform land-sea-air exercises at once, thus an army maneuvers and not a formation or varieties of weapons, and maneuvers considered to be offensive for destroying submarines, and large ships and dropping missiles and waging land attacks, and according to the source, if the political solution is to be shut, Damascus might commence a comprehensive settlement when the observers mission is over, and impose the game rules without negotiations.

Outcomes of “Zero hour”..

The source say: Washington wanted to raise the ceiling of its demands during Tokyo talks, but who raised the ceiling of their demands was the Iranian FM who announced in an un-interpretative way, that “stability in Afghanistan, achieved with the exit of foreign forces”, therefor Iran refused any approach or link to the Syrian file with the Afghan one, and from another side, Iran committed indirectly to support the Afghan resistance.

The source add: The US during Tokyo talks, considered Afghanistan as the most important ally for the US outside the NATO countries !!!  where all these manners came from?? How could Kabul be an ally to Washington and the US is negotiating with Taliban movement from one side, Did the US realize that the Doha negotiations with Taliban will not stop the resistance in Afghanistan? and whether the words of the Americans are flirtation with Karzai government and a a hint for the Russians that US might include him in the negotiations about Afghanistan with Taliban movement? the source add: perhaps it is maneuvers, but the US started lose trust even from the Europeans, and there is fear that Moscow might have penetrated all NATO communications, as there are things and surprises happening that are unimaginable..

The source say: What does it mean to try to prove that Assad is unable control the ground, and the message comes in reverse, and more on the impact of Tokyo talks about the Afghanistan file, five US soldiers fall dead during the Iranian FM speech, and even Russia is confident that it doesn’t even smile to any achievement, the source add: we should admit that Russia’s policy surprised everybody, and the mentality of the intelligence that came with Putin is the one ruling Russia more than the politics mentality, and since 2006 we see Putin leading the US to the abyss and throw them without even smiling, from their previous defeat in Lebanon and Syria  and Iraq to the Caucasian war  and in the Afghan swamp and all the files.. The Russian policy is characterized with calmness of the intelligence men, as we cannot expect anything from Moscow’s policy.. The source conclude: “Putin who doesn’t smile,… Drove the West into madness”..

The End…Jouhaina News – Kefah Nssr

Syria: The Globalist Destruction of a Nation State

Syria: The Globalist Destruction of a Nation State.

With all the rhetoric and talk of democratic reform in Syria, the Syrian opposition’s message is now clear: “No negotiations. We want power now.” Sounds more like a radical dictatorship in the making.

Yet, this is the very opposition being backed by the western powers led by Hillary Clinton and her ‘Friends of Syria’ steering group, an opposition that is currently killing, burning, and looting their way through to Damascus, with Syria looking more and more likely to eventually go the way of Libya.

The Syrian opposition, in the form of the Syrian National Council (SNC) were in Moscow today, lobbying to change Russia’s mind on Syria – lobbying for Russian support in removing the current Syrian regime. “No dialogue with Bashar al Assad and the ruling regime,” in effect demanding action before any talks of a new government can take place.

Critics describe this trip as pre-posturing, or going through the motions in order to create a narrative for Washington to utilize later on. The narrative in this case is to make Washington’s SNC look legitimate and appear able to open diplomatic relations with major players in advance of their stealing power in Syria.

At the same time, Kofi Annan is in Tehran, essentially to convince the Islamic Republic to lend its influence in convincing Syria’s current government to step down – a stance Tehran is unlikely to take, but could be swayed in return for leverage with the UN in the wake of western economic sanctions and the threat of war.

Whether Iran cooperates in this instance is one matter, but for the UN organization, this trip achieves the very same element as the SNC’s trip to Moscow – it reinforces the western narrative that enemies of Bashar al Assad are pursuing a ‘diplomatic solution’ to a deteriorating situation in Syria – a situation which was originally seeded and further inflamed by the Western and Gulf ally-backed proxy guerrilla armies in Syria. The original cause of the violence in Syria – Washington and London and their Gulf allies – leap forward and presents itself as the solution – classic Hegelian dialectic.

Despite the fact that he more or less enabled the illegal and neo-colonial US-led wars and occupations in both Iraq and Afghanistan, former UN head and globalist agent Kofi Annan is still regarded in the media as a trusted ‘international negotiator’. Although his recent proposal of ‘negotiations without preconditions’, namely those preconditions vehemently laid down by the US, UK, and the Syrian opposition – ‘immediate regime change, no negotiations and total power in government.’

Geneva: Designed to Fail

Annan’s role today is no different than it was 10 years ago – to create a narrative of a concerned international community – and to buy time for the West’s agenda to take shape. In other words, sustaining a public illusion of international bilateral negotiations long enough until the US and its allies have all necessary chess pieces in position to achieve their own geopolitical and economic ends in the region.

Joint Special Envoy Kofi Annan concluding remarks at the Meeting of Action Group on Syria last week in Geneva show rhetoric that can only exist in a political vacuum, and not connected at all to reality. Annan goes through the motions by stating last week, “I called this meeting in Geneva at this critical stage in the crisis to bring the international community and the countries with influence together – to take concrete action… everyone here is gravely alarmed at the situation in Syria. We strongly condemn the continued and escalating killing, destruction and human rights abuses.”

At no point has the UN Special Envoy ever directly acknowledged that the main driver of violence and so-called human rights abuses – and even ethnic and religious cleansing in Syria – are a result of US-UK-Saudi-Qatar-backed radical Sunni force known as the ‘Free Syria Army’ and al Qaida rebel factions operating within Syria.

Sadly for Syrians, the western powers will ultimately achieve their plan of regime change by default. Although more laborious and subtle in its execution, the sustained international illusion of dialogue and diplomacy between western allied regime change proponents and Syria and its allies will eventually end in the same way that western Iraqi pre-posturing did in 2002 – forgotten and ultimately irrelevant, because Washington and London’s agendas remain steady throughout.

Now it is a waiting game. Given enough time and external economic and military pressure applied, eventually, the nation state of Syria will implode from within – and the Western globalist power elite know this.

A NATO humanitarian intervention would certainly be easier for Washington, but in the absence of a Libya-style ‘No Fly Zone,’ the west’s strategy is simply:

Buy enough time until the plan of destabilization is successful and there is a collapse of law and order within Syria.

The Balkanization of Syria

In order to ensure regional destabilization and the presence of the ‘international community’ – and more importantly for the western allied military and economic forces – the elimination of a strong secular nation-state in the Middle East, the process of Balkanization must occur in Syria.

In similar fashion to the French Mandate of Syria in 1921, western power brokers will aim to divide Syria along both ethnic and religious lines. The Assad regime has managed over the decades to maintain relative ethnic and religious harmony between Sunnis, Shi’ites, Alawites, Druze, Christians, and even Jews (there are currently some 1,200 Jews in Damascus and are traditionally protected from persecution by Syria’s ruling government)  in Syria.

Sunni Muslims represent somewhat of a majority through central Syria and are presently the preferred ally of western powers seeking to divide influence and dissolve the nation state of Syria. They also comprise the majority of foreign and domestic guerrilla fighters being deployed throughout the country by planners in Washington and London. They will also have received the full backing of Gulf allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar whose interest is to spread Sunni influence in Syria.

Alawites represent a minority of Syrians, but are aligned with the traditional political power base of the current ruling regime in Syria. Western planners seek to drive them out of Damascus and towards the northwest of the country.

The ethnic Kurds to the northeast are also key in the break-up of Syria, not least because they are part of a larger regional population which stretches north into Turkey and east into Iraq. This group has been used as both a political and military wedge and bargaining tool by Washington and London throughout history, and their significance will become more so once the maps are redrawn again this time.

Remaining Shi’ites cannot be allowed to hold any collective influence in Syria because of their affiliation with both Hezbollah and Iran, and therefore will be best left scattered throughout the region.

Similarly, the Christian population of Syria are of little use to western planners and are currently being persecuted and driven out of towns by western-backed radical Sunni rebels in cities like Hama.

The Druze are another important minority sect nested in the southern region of Syria. Druze have been used by Israeli interests past and present, to divide and rule over various sub-regions, and even serve within the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). If Syria is successfully divided by the west, it is unlikely that the Syrian Druze will defend the remaining portions of the fresh water-rich Golan Heights not currently occupied by Israel, meaning it could very well fall into Israeli hands. Those areas are presently ‘held in escrow’ by the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), established by United Nations Security Council Resolution 350 of 1974 which called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Syria.

The situation along this Israel-Syria sector has remained quiet with no serious incidents since its implementation, but that could change should the west destabilize and Balkanize the current nation of Syria. The mandate of UNDOF has been renewed every six months since 1974, with the most recent renewal until June 30, 2012. If Syria as we know it today ceases to exist, then this agreement is in danger of being voided.

Spillover into Lebanon

Lebanon is similar to Syria in that it has maintained a secular shape to its government and many residents of Lebanon identify with their multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation-state.

But trouble in Syria will almost inevitably mean trouble in Lebanon. Syria, among other things, is a major trading partner with Lebanon and also provides Lebanon with electricity and other staple resources.

For war planners in Washington, Tel Aviv, and London, however, Lebanon mainly represents a shelter for what constitutes a ‘terror organization’ in western eyes – the Shi’ite-oriented Hezbollah. Just as the IRA made the political transition via its Sinn Fein political body, Hezbollah has made the transition from militia to politics in Lebanon. To date, its intricate organization of militias throughout Southern Lebanon remain as the only real barrier between Lebanon and its aggressive neighbor to the south, Israel.

Israel, although quiet on Syria to date, has a significant interest in the current situation.

In the 2006 conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, the IDF was eventually sent home as walking wounded, but Israel managed to bomb and destroy a significant amount of Lebanese infrastructure as ‘collective punishment’ to the nation of Lebanon for hosting Hezbollah in the country – but also to block Syria from delivering much needed aid to their Lebanese allies. Israeli strikes were followed by Hezbollah rocket reprisal attacks into Israel.

If regime change is achieved by the west in Syria, Hezbollah’s greatest local ally will have been effectively eliminated, potentially opening the door again into Lebanon. The potential for destabilization in Lebanon is significant. Many old wounds still exist between the country’s Marionite Christian, Muslim, and Druze populations – resulting in an incredibly fractured political landscape. If the west chooses to exaggerate and inflame these traditional differences in Lebanon, it could result in a rapid destabilization process in Lebanon which could reach fever pitch, not in a matter of months – but weeks.

Whether it’s by internal destabilization or by military confrontation, the elimination of Syria and the neutralization of Lebanon’s Hezbollah means that Israel’s real potential foes in the region will have disappeared overnight – opening the door for itself and its ally the United States to engage in a joint-unilateral military strike against Iran.

‘Russia Gas’ versus ‘Qatari Gas’

Increasingly today, natural gas has become one of the most important commodities in determining regional power. The European Union currently imports 50% of its energy and with an increased dependence on natural gas, the EU has fallen victim during various periods to the suspension of the natural gas supplies from Russia. A major gas pipeline project has since been planned to counter this trend, and the pipeline will originate in Qatar via Saudi Arabia and Syria.

This little known fact is one major reason why Russia is taking the current situation in Syria very seriously – because the outcome will affect its own geopolitical standing within greater Europe.

Qatar is a country with rich natural gas reserves that can ensure source diversity in natural gas supply for the EU – the latter has been seeking to reduce its dependence on Russia. Streamlining Syria and Turkey as the final mile to Europe is of paramount interest to the US and its NATO allies. It is a major piece of a larger puzzle of economic and political consolidation.

Also of great interest to the international banks, corporations, and the IMF, are all of Syria’s state-owned assets and resources, including its national power grid and two Syrian auto manufacturers.

Its state-owned bank will also disappear within weeks, likely replaced by a new, debt-ridden private entity.

Before the west’s infiltration of Syria in 2011, the country was in the black and enjoying steady economic growth that beat China in terms of percentage – all during a period of recession in the west. With Western sanctions and destabilization, all that has changed, and following any future globalist asset-stripping, as was the case with Libya, Syria will be plunged deep in the red for the foreseeable future.

Baiting World War III

Military engagement, followed by the potential destruction of an independent Iranian military and industrial economy would be a favored outcome for Washington, NATO, and Gulf state allies like Saudi Arabia and Qatar, but for the rest of the planet it could pull in other regional powers like Russia, Pakistan, and China which risks triggering off a wider World War III type theatre of conflict.

The result of such an escalation could risk a nuclear conflagration, but will almost surely result at very least in the choking of certain essential supplies to the west, possible inflation, followed by a protracted, global economic depression – a recipe for domestic unrest all over the globe.

In this Hegelian dream, and as it was following both WWI and WWII, the world will be clamoring for a brand new, more effective global government, along with a one world single currency, and last but not least – a global military force to prevent future wars.

These are the clear and present risks in this 21st century global game of dominoes.

America’s "Syrian Friends" and "Afghan Foes" are the Same People

America’s “Syrian Friends” and “Afghan Foes” are the Same People

It’s puzzling how the US can treat radical Islamists in Syria as allies while fighting against them as enemies in Afghanistan, says the chair of the Russian parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Washington’s double standard approach is evident in the Syrian crisis. It supports the armed opposition, which wants to turn the country into a dictatorship, claiming that their war against the Assad government has democracy as the goal, Aleksey Pushkov told RT.
RT: Do you think the events unfolding in Syria are in line with the interests of the Syrian people?
Aleksey Pushkov: There is a civil war going on in Syria, and it is only the Syrian political opposition that is benefiting from it. The opposition took up arms and uses violence to achieve their goal. I am convinced that most Syrians don’t want to have this armed conflict.
It is well-known that the armed opposition groups persecute the Christian community in Syria. Thousands of Christians were driven out of their towns and villages. Shia Muslims, a minority in the country – they make up 13 per cent – are also targeted by armed Sunni radicals who represent the majority in the armed opposition.
Minorities are killed, as we saw in Houla, and driven out. There is a town in Syria called Hama, right now it is controlled by the militants. And there are basically no local residents left in Hama. They have either been killed or fled the city.
And in this situation the so-called “Friends of Syria” and Hillary Clinton tell us that the armed opposition is fighting for democracy. The armed opposition is not fighting for democracy; they are fighting for a dictatorship. It will be a dictatorship of the forces that they are trying to bring to power to replace Assad. It is clear by now that it has nothing to do with democracy. We can draw this conclusion from the way this armed opposition is acting. They don’t want any negotiations, they don’t want to comply with the Annan plan, they don’t want to create a transition government; they don’t want anything. What they want is to have all the power in the country.
I don’t quite understand how the US can support the armed opposition, because these are the same kind of people who blow up American soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, and kill NATO troops in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, they are considered enemies of the United States, while here they are treated as allies.
I don’t think this insurgence would have had any serious prospects without external support. But they have this external financial and political support. They get weapons from outside, therefore it’s not just an uprising without a serious future – it’s a civil war that split the country in half, as a result of external interference.
RT: But what are these outside forces actually trying to achieve? Why would they want to wage war?
AP: The US in particular wants to topple the Assad regime, which has long been considered anti-American. I believe Assad’s good relations with Russia have also played a role. Washington treats any government on friendly terms with Russia with a degree of skepticism, to put it mildly. So they would rather replace it with a regime more supportive of the US.
As for Islamist or Wahhabi monarchies in the Gulf like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain, they seek to model the Syrian regime after their own. They would like to cover all women under black veils, lock them up at home, and strip them of their electoral rights. In case of dissent, the government would follow the example of Bahrain and open fire against its own people. This kind of conflict is not unique to Syria. But with the events in Bahrain, the US simply turned a blind eye because Bahrain is America’s friend.
In other words, these Gulf countries would like the Sunnis to take power and establish a religious state just like in the Persian Gulf, and weaken the Shias, who have been ruling Syria, as well as Iran, which is currently regarded as Syria’s ally. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain treat Iran with much animosity and see a toppled Assad as a way to weaken the Shia-Iran.
The whole situation has little to do with freedom and democracy. Not Saudi Arabia, nor Qatar or Bahrain or the United Arab Emirates have any democracy or freedom, and most of these states even lack a constitution. It would be ridiculous to assume that these undemocratic states can bring democracy to Syria. The Sunni-Shia confrontation adds a very important dimension to this conflict. Though often ignored, it plays a major role.
RT: Just recently, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, I quote, “Russia and China will pay a price, because they are holding up progress, blocking it. This is no longer tolerable.” What’s your reaction to the statement?
AP: All I see is that the US is paying a price for what it did in Iraq. For example, the US has lost a lot of its glamour and trust in its foreign policy. I would even go as far as to say that the occupation of Iraq prompted a crisis in US foreign policy. At the moment, even its staunch allies like Turkey or Egypt, along with the Western European countries, like Germany, the UK and France, saw a drastic hike in anti-American sentiment. The US has now paid a price for their occupation of Iraq.
Now Russia warns against the occupation of Syria. Russia says that it’s Syrians who should decide their own future. Hillary Clinton may well voice her opinion, but it’s no more than fantasy. I hear she’s about to step down as Secretary of State so this must be her farewell fantasy.
RT: The US has clearly demonstrated that it’s not going to back down over Syria. How far is Russia prepared to go?
AP: The conference on Syria held in Geneva in June adopted a roadmap, supported by the US, Russia and China. The countries agreed on the need to set up a transition government, to launch a dialogue between the government and the opposition. The participants agreed that it should be the representatives of the two warring parties that should start these talks. This blueprint was backed by Russia, the US, China and France – almost every country present. So it looks like a sensible solution.
But as soon as they put their signatures to the plan, a war of interpretation broke out. Hillary Clinton said that the plan implies that Assad must go, while Russia said the document does not even mention the name of Assad so it has nothing to do with his future. Russia insists that the document aims to end violence and start negotiations. And all this despite the fact that all the countries said they had reached a common understanding.
It’s really strange when five minutes after you reach an understanding, the parties appear divided. Indeed, the countries did reach some common ground, albeit fragile, but again they tend to interpret it differently. This means a political battle is going on. Also, the rebels said they won’t take part in any kind of talks, and refuse to be part of a transitional government. I think pro-rebel forces can easily do both – sign the Geneva plan and then tell the rebels to press on with the old ways – that being their fight against the Assad government.
RT: What does Russia propose?
AP: Russia insists on the agreements that have already been reached – that the sides should…
RT: But the rebels are against…
AP: Well, if the rebels don’t want to join the negotiations, what can we do about it? We can’t send in our troops and force them to do so. All we can do is to work hard to persuade the US to use their leverage. Washington signed the Geneva plan to set up a transition government. Therefore the US should now use its influence on the armed opposition in Syria to make them comply with it. Otherwise, their policy would look hypocritical – while making official statements in support of the negotiation process they in fact sabotage it.
We could also work to persuade the Assad cabinet not to renounce their support for negotiations and a transition government. In fact, the Assad government has agreed to the plan. And it is only the armed opposition, the rebels, who are against it. The US says that the rebels are ready to join the negotiations only after Assad has resigned. But this was never mentioned at the Geneva conference. We never signed any document that would say that Syria must change its regime under the influence of the external players. We say that Syrians must make their own decision. This is Russia’s stance. Russia cannot work miracles, however it can and will maintain its stance.
RT: Many experts say that for the US, a war in Syria would pave the way to attack Iran. Do you think this scenario is possible?
AP: I believe there has been too much speculation on this issue. Personally, I don’t quite see how a possible military strike against Iran is connected with Syria’s future.
Amidst the economic havoc and domestic hostilities, Syria is clearly out of shape to attack any of the US allies in the Middle East. So should the US decide to wage a war on Iran, Syria will have little to do with it.
RT: Perhaps it could be a strategic base?
AP: There are many US allies in the Middle East, for example Jordan, but nobody ever calls Jordan a strategic base to attack Iran. I would not take these speculations seriously. To me, the issues of Iran and Syria are poles apart. Damascus is thought to be Iran’s ally, so you need a regime change in Syria in order to weaken Iran. But in my opinion, this is all very far-fetched. Right now, Syria cannot be a fully-fledged ally to Iran. Too focused on its own domestic affairs, it can neither send its troops abroad, nor cause trouble for America’s allies in the Middle East. So the argument that the US needs to crush Syria before taking on Iran holds little water.
You know that the issue of Iran is not about its military expansion or aggression. It is all about the nuclear weapons that Iran may acquire. This was a hot topic long before the Syria crisis; it’s been on the agenda for about 12 years, with the US strongly against Iran going nuclear. This alone is enough to prove that the issue of Syria is very different from that of Iran. I would not link these two issues closely together.

The Syrian Commando

Every time we think the west, the zionists and their Arab puppets have sunk to the deepest pit of morality, they prove us wrong by pulling out a new vice. Through killing us in a new way — and then lying about it to kill us once again. Were I to list off all of the lies created, all the works of deception, about Syria, the result would be encyclopedia spanning 30 volumes.  This is not the purpose of this post. The purpose is to END these lies, by showing you how they are created.

Let us begin from the very beginning… with the so-called “peaceful spontaneous protests”. These were preceded by attempts in Iraq to smuggle a huge amount of arms by months and various failed attempts to spark protests since at least late February and early March 2011. A favoured tactic by the west is to put…

The Interfax news agency quoted a military source as saying that a naval flotilla of six warships led by an anti-submarine destroyer was sent to its naval base at Tartous.

The Admiral Chabanenko and three landing craft have left their home port of Severomorsk in the Arctic Circle on their way to the Mediterranean where they will be joined by the Russian patrol ship Yaroslav Mudry as well as an assistance vessel, the source told the agency.

“The program of the voyage includes a call in the Syrian port of Tartous,” the unnamed source said.

The source said the trip was taking place in line with the plans of military readiness of the Russian fleet. According to Interfax, the source insisted that the deployment “was not linked to the escalation of the situation in Syria.”

“In Tartous the ships are going to top up on supplies of fuel, water and foodstuffs,” the source said, adding that their deployment in the Mediterranean would last until the end of September.
