Erdogan: Turkey Has No Intention of Attacking Syria

Erdogan: Turkey Has No Intention of Attacking Syria

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that Turkey has no intention of attacking Syria over its recent downing of the F4 fighter jet which violated the Syrian airspace last week.
The two-man crew is still missing.
“As Turkey, the Turkish nation, we have no intention of attacking” Syria, Erdogan said during a military ceremony in Ankara.
“We don’t have any hostile intent towards any country,” Erdogan added.
Erdogan was once a friend and ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
But their relations have broken down since the security situation deteriorated in Syria last year.
Meanwhile, analysts believe that Turkey has no war plans for Syria despite rhetoric.
Days after the Phantom F-4 jet was brought down by Syrian defenses, Erdogan’s declaration came a day after he branded Syria “a clear and imminent threat” and promised a harsher military response to any border violation.
Wednesday’s newspapers headlined Ankara’s hardening attitude, with the Milliyet daily saying, “Syria is now a de facto enemy.”
“You can categorize a country as an enemy but this doesn’t mean that you are in a hot conflict with that country,” said political analyst Professor Sedat Laciner of the Ankara-based think tank USAK.
“Turkey has no intention of translating this tension into a war,” he added.
Meeting in Brussels Tuesday at Turkey’s request, NATO rallied behind Ankara, condemned Damascus for shooting down the Phantom, but made no mention of possible intervention.

“Those who committed this crime had carried out the decision of the Arab League Council to silence the voice of Syria,” Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi

Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi on Wednesday said the armed terrorist groups perpetrated the worst massacre against journalism and the freedom of media when they executed the Syria media figures in cold blood. The Minister held those who instigate against Syria and escalate terrorism against its people fully responsible for this massacre. Minister al-Zoubi said “This massacre won’t go unpunished and the broadcast of the Syrian al-Ikhbariya Satellite Channel will not stop and we hold the EU, Arab and International organizations responsible for this massacre.” Al-Zoubi added: “Those who committed this crime had carried out the decision of the Arab League Council to silence the voice of Syria.” Minister al-Zoubi asserted that the armed terrorist groups who broke into the headquarters of al-Ikhbariya perpetrated a heinous crime executing the journalists, employees and civil guards, telephone operators, exploding the studios, looting some of the Channel technical sets. Minister al-Zoubi added that the EU decision in Luxembourg to impose sanctions on Syrian TV and Radio in addition to the continued campaigns of provocations against Syria have been crowned today with this terrorist attack against al-Ikhbariya Satellite Channel. Minister al-Zoubi referred this heinous crime against the Syrian Media to the EU with all of its institutions, to all ministers of information worldwide, Arab and foreign press, UN, UN Security Council, UN Human Rights Council, Arab League, as well as to Arab league Secretary General. Syria’s voice with all of its media outlets would ever remain as to encounter the hatched conspiracies, blasting the Arab League recent decision to prohibit Syrian media transmission via Arabsat and Nilesat, holding the League Secretary-General accountable for this legal and political liability. Three journalists and workers in the Syrian al-Ikhbaryia Satellite Channel were martyred Wednesday morning in a brutal terrorist attack by an armed terrorist group targeting the headquarters of al-Ikhbaryia. The martyrs who were killed in the terrorist attack against al-Ikhbariya Channel are: Sami Abu Amin, Zaid Kahl and Mohammad Shamma. The terrorists planted explosive devices in the headquarters of al-Ikhbaryia following their ransacking and destroying of the Satellite Channel studios, including the newsroom studio which was entirely destroyed. al-Ikhbaryia Satellite Channel, an active Syrian media means in confronting misleading and misinformation campaigns, continued, however, its transmission regardless of the brutal terrorist attack. Syria has been facing a sinister campaign launched by some Arab media means, especially the Qatari and Saudi, and western media means fabricating and disseminating false, virtual and biased news. The Ministry’s statement pointed out that the Ministry of Information considers this crime as a crime against journalism and media conventions. The Ministry stressed that this attack against the freedom of information comes in the framework of the attempts of preventing the Syrian national media from satellite broadcasting and the EU sanctions on the General Organization for Radio and TV. The Ministry called on the Arab Council of Ministers of Information to shoulder responsibility to guarantee the freedom of journalism and satellite broadcasting and journalists’ lives, security and safety everywhere. Al- Ikhbariya Journalists: We’ll Continue Conveying Reality of Events Number of al- Ikhbariya channel journalists stressed that the massacre committed against the channel will not dissuade them from conveying the reality of the events, adding that they are more resolved to defend Syria’s dignity. Editor-in-Chief of the channel, Abdo al-Assadi, said that this massacre targeted not only al- Ikhbaryia channel, but also all the Syrian media. Al-Assadi added that the workers who were martyred in the attack were armed only with their words and views. For his part, Chief Editor Adham al-Taweel, said that this terrorist attack targeted the Syrian media as it managed to confront the misleading and provocative media campaign against the country. Yara Saleh, al-Ikhbariya correspondent, said that this terrorist attack will motivate all journalists and workers at the channel to unmask these terrorists and their actions. Syrian Journalsits Union, National Media Council Condemn Terrorist Attack agaisnt al-Ikhbariya Channel Meanwhile, The Syrian Journalists Union and National Media Council mourned the martyrdom of three journalists.

NATO media distort the representation of the Turkish Syrian launching F-4 Phantom 25th June 2012
Mass media of the NATO countries to spread the distorted reports on the public launch of a Turkish fighter jets F-4 Phantom by Syrian air defense on Friday. The distortion of the facts takes place in a manner that is likely to produce more anti-war sentiment in the Syrian population of NATO countries.

How many events that have to do with Syria, there to the launch of the Turkish fighter jets, two different stories.

The state news agency SANA the Syrian in the night from Friday to Saturday told story is the following :

On Friday at 11:40 h has an unidentified flying object that came from the west and flew very low and at high speed on Syrian territorial waters, violated Syrian airspace. The Syrian air defense has fought the unidentified flying object with air defense artillery and hit it directly, as it was a mile away from the Syrian coast. This made flying object crashed west of the Syrian village of Om al-Tuyour 10km from the beach in Syrian territorial waters. The struck object turned out to be Turkish military aircraft on which the Syrian laws is Woren proceed accordingly. The Syrian navy has joined forces with the Turkish navy after the two missing pilots.

The report was illustrated by the following SANA map representation of the trajectory of the shot flying object:

Representation of the trajectory of the flying object shot by SANA – 06/23/2012
This schematic drawing according to the flying object from 11:12 came north west of the Mediterranean, has turned over the Turkish province of Hatay the hairpin is then flew south-west of the Mediterranean, is there a hairpin turn, then south-westerly direction from the Mediterranean coming close to the Syrian coast by flying towards the Turkish province of Hatay, there is a hairpin turn to the southwest back to the Mediterranean and then from the west by the Mediterranean flown coming directly toward Syria on the Syrian coast, where the flying object was then shot down by Syrian artillery . In the Syrian state television news on Saturday, the airplane image shown above in the map display was something a niminiert, so that the alleged Syrian route a little bit clearer. Active in Syria Russian private news agency ANNA News reported on Syrian TV report , the flying object had violated Syrian airspace several times before it was shot down.

Syria remained in this account of the facts. The Syrian foreign ministry spokesman Jihad Makdisi added the Russian agency RIA Novosti, according Saturday to the Turkish television, Jetabschuss should be considered in any way as a hostile action against Turkey, it is the defense of the sovereignty of Syria and in no way an attack it was very important to seek the naval forces of both countries together for the missing pilot and he hoped that they will soon be found and the incident soon the past.

The spread of the side of Turkey’s history to the incident in several important details is another. Especially in the important question of where the Turkish jet of the Syrian air defense was made, the Turkish narratives differ from the Syrian narrative.

The BBC reported on Friday evening , the Turkish military had said it was lost on Friday at 11:58 h the radio contact with the F-4, while it flew over Hatay, after the machine about 90 minutes earlier in the Airbase Erhac the province of Malatya is started. The French agency AFP reported on Friday afternoon, the Turkish military had a message indicating that it had lost around 11:58 in contact with a Turkish jet that had found south of the border with Syria Turkish province of Hatay, and search-rescue efforts were immediately begun. AFP went on to the private NTV news channel had reported, citing unnamed military officials, the Turkish jet had crashed in Syrian territorial waters, but a violation of the Syrian border have not given it. Reuters reported on Friday in Istanbul, CNN Turk had reported that the military plane had crashed in Syria.

The pro-government Turkish daily Today’s Zaman reported on Friday afternoon , citing a statement by the journalist Altayli in Haber Türk TV, the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan journalists have told on the flight home from Brazil, the Syrian side had said that the incident was a mistake and Turkey was a “serious apology” given. Erdogan himself told RT, according to media after his arrival in Turkey, however, he did not know whether the Turkish jet was shot down and he could not confirm an excuse Syria. After a Turkish security meeting chaired by Erdogan told the Today’s Zaman on Friday evening that a statement was issued that stated the, the jet was shot down and Recep Tayyip Erdogan had declared the crash site befinde is 13km from Latakia, an approximately 45km from the Turkish border distant Syrian coastal city. On whether the machine was in the Turkish Syrian airspace, the message was in the Today’s Zaman made any claims. After this report appeared on the Today’s Zaman at the SANA report, in Syria, which had hitherto been silent publicly about the event, officially confirmed to have shot down the Turkish press.

On Saturday morning, reported the British Telegraph , the Turkish President Abdullah Gul was the Anatolia news agency said that it is possible that the Turkish jet was in the Syrian airspace, but this is routine, it is passing more often, that the Jets out of control because The Jets were so fast and there was no ill intent. The Telegraph added that the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc had said that was downed at the Turkish Phantom acted contrary to earlier reports, it is not a fighter, but a reconnaissance plane. The Turkish newspaper Radikal announced on Saturday afternoon, like many other Turkish media, citing unofficial military circles known , the two pilots missing after the launch of the machine were Captain Huseyin Aksoy and Lieutenant Ertan Gökhan.

On Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told Reuters, the Turkish state television TRT, Turkey’s jet was hit on a mission to test local radar systems “13 nautical miles from the Syrian border” without warning of the Syrian air defenses. The plane had been clearly recognized as Turkish and Syrian side was aware that it concerns a Turkish airplane. Radar images suggest the pilot would have lost the control of the aircraft hits and had then crashed after “abnormal movements” in the Mediterranean within Syrian territory. Reuters reported on in the report, some 50 km away from the launch site to offer its south-eastern Turkey (sic) border with Turkey, the FSA and rebellious refugees hiding, denying, however, to supply weapons to the insurgents.

When Moon of Alabama reproduced according to the Tweets for Today’s Zaman Turkish journalists working Mahir Zeynalov Reuters is distorted at a crucial point of the statement Davutoglu played and beat another important point. Distorted has been reproduced from Reuters is the place where the Turkish jet was hit. Reuters reported that it was “13 miles from the Syrian border” have been. According to the tweets of Zeynalov Davutoglu has said, however, that the jet 13 nautical miles from the Syrian coast had been taken away. The maritime border of Syria is, however, as the maritime boundary of any other State, twelve miles away from the coastline . The alleged by Davutoglu site of the hit is so much closer to the Syrian border, namely, a nautical mile from the Syrian border, not as Reuters has claimed that “13 nautical miles from the Syrian border.” Embezzling Reuters has the tweets According to Davutoglu added in his speech was that the downed jet had entered 15 minutes before the shooting in Syrian territory.

An article by Hurriyet Daily News described the alleged flight path from the Turkish side of the Turkish jets closer. It says the Turkish F4 was entered, according to radar logs, which had asked the Turkish General Staff is available to 11:42 for five minutes in Syrian airspace. 11:44 Turkish to radar operators were informed of the jet that it had entered into Syrian territory and asked him to leave it as quickly as possible. The radio contact with the control center of the Turkish jet was 16 minutes after the start of a five-minute intrusion has been lost, which means after Adam Riese therefore 11:58. The Hurriyet Daily News also claims in the article, the Turkish intelligence had intercepted radio communications of Syrian military and I think that there are “serious indicators” that the order came to be projected from Damascus, the source location for this claim of the Hürriyet Daily News, however, remained obscure. A Turkish source hochangige have said that the Syrian government for the attack “is to pay,” reports on the Hurriyet Daily News. Consistent with the world press, the Hurriyet reported here that Turkey consultations with all NATO countries to Article 4 has scheduled the NATO treaty.

In the private Turkish TV channel NTVMSNBC Turkish television viewers was the depiction of the incident based on the claims of the Turkish army leadership by three sketch maps discussed in more detail . Here is the first Turkish TV audience of NTVMSNBC presented sketch map:

First screenshot of the F4 Phantom NTVMSNBC incident of 22.06.2012
According to the representation of Turkish jet was at 11:08 h at 22 000 feet ( 6706 meters ) high was located north of Cyprus and flew towards Hatay. To 11:23 the jet was in 7500 feet above Hatay a hairpin and then flew south-west of the Mediterranean Sea beyond, where the jet was then at 11:37 h is a height of 2000 feet (610 meters). Note the drawn into the map display white line off the coasts of Turkey and Syria, with the twelve nautical miles is makriert off the coast line commencing the territory of the States: the rate used for NTVMSNBC map display are twelve nautical miles from Syria (right) is much less than Turkey (above). Since darsgetellt depicting the TV viewers of the NATO-state Turkey has violated when and how the Turkish press Syrian territory, is the error, the Syrian 12-nautical-mile zone is less than to make the Turkish zone, remarkable, and it is hard to imagine that this has happened “by accident”.

This “strange” is the difference in size of the 12-nautical-mile zones, in the second Turkish TV audience of NTVMSNBC presented sketch map:

Second screenshot of the F4 Phantom NTVMSNBC incident of 06.22.2012
From 11:37, the Turkish jet flew thus coming from the southwest to the Syrian coast. At 11:42 h, the Turkish jet penetrated at an altitude of only 200 feet (61 meters) in the Syrian 12-mile zone, so the Syrian air space. With the intrusion into Syrian airspace change its flight direction of the jet and flew into Syrian airspace roughly parallel north-north-east coast to the Syrian track. At 11:44 h, the Turkish Jet in Syrian airspace by Turkish control center had been advised that it is in the Syrian airspace befinde. We recall that the Turkish military leadership told Hürriyet Daily News According to the Turkish jet had been invited by the Turkish control center to leave the Syrian airspace as soon as possible. This representation of NTVMSNBC According to the Turkish Jet has to this request, however, made no change of course away from the Syrian coast, but flew on course north-north-east, until the jet arrived at 11:47 h at the northern border of the Syrian airspace into Turkish airspace. After the alleged invitation by the Turkish control center to leave the Syrian airspace as soon as possible, the Turkish Jet reduced by the retention of the course north-northeast due to the Syrian headland of Ras Al Basit the distance to the Syrian coast even more. Since the map display of NTVMSNBC is only schematically, and not particularly the proportion of the Syrian 12-nautical-mile zone in comparison to the Turkish 12-mile zone is true is only speculation on the question of how closely the Turkish jet was actually on the Syrian coast turn. What is striking is certain is that so far from the Turkish side of the syrichen view was not contradicted, the Turkish jet was flying low to high speed to approximately one kilometer to the Syrian coast. At 11:50 h, the Turkish jet was then just before he has made over the land mass of the Turkish province of Hatay a new turn to the west, had risen to 3,000 feet altitude, seen from the sketch map of the NTVMSNBC out for more Flight Turkish representation.

On the third Turkish TV audience of NTVMSNBC presented sketch map is the launch and crash of the Turkish jets shown:

Third screenshot of the F4 Phantom NTVMSNBC incident of 06.22.2012
This distorted and contained rough sketch of the map display manipulations reveal that there is the Turkish view of launching big problems. First of all, had been received on the content outlined. This representation of NTVMSNBC According to the Turkish aircraft was at 11:50 hours is not greater as shown on the last sketch, at an altitude of 3,000 feet on approach to the Turkish coast, but already has the land mass of the province of Hatay and had taken courses southwest. The plane then continued southwest, according to the representation of course passing on the border of the Syrian airspace. 11:58 h, the Turkish press west and slightly south of the Syrian headland of Ras al Basit at a distance of 13 nautical miles from the Syrian coast, the Syrian air defenses made. After the hit, the machine was changed to a 90-degree turn from its course towards south-east, ie closer to the Syrian coast and capsized eight miles 12:02 on the Syrian coast, ie within the Syrian territory, into the sea. Unlike the other two sketches of the information was not specified at what level should the Turkish press have reportedly found at 11:58 h, when they should have been made.

A striking feature of the sketch is that the crash site, which will lie eight miles off the coast, so close to the line of Syrian 12-nautical-mile zone is that the plotted point touches the line drawn. The place where the Turkish machine should be taken at 11:58 h, and the thirteen miles from the Syrian coast should be removed, however, is far away in the sketch of Syrian shown 12-mile zone.

The Turkish information on the incident, according to it would have to be reversed: the location of the hit 13 miles off the Syrian coastline would just outside the line of Syrian 12-nautical-mile zone lying and the crash site eight miles off the coast well within the Syrian 12-mile zone.

Would that however so marked and the Syrian 12-mile zone in the sketch was not distorted, then would the Turkish machinery when plotted as a straight course about direction is flown Southwest, only a few seconds before the shooting violated Syrian airspace, that is exactly where it is flown by the Syrian headland of Ras al Basit. Had the machine about the Syrian headland of Ras al flew around Basit and then south of the headland 13 nautical miles from the Syrian coast hit has been removed, so if the machine is no price had towards the open sea, but a course towards the Syrian coast had taken would be so at the time of Trffers about to have to commit a deliberate and unprovoked violation of Syrian airspace, even though the machine Syrian airspace was violated within 15 minutes earlier and had been invited by the Turkish control center at the earliest possible departure of the Syrian airspace was.

You can twist and turn this Turkish representation and what you will, with a scaled map and precise coordinates of the Turkish information that fit together due to the fact that the Turkish jet is clearly crashed deep in Syrian territory, already have a big credibility problem. If the Turkish people would realize that the Turkish representation raises contradictions in logic, then the Turkish government would run even more risk that in the Turkish population to the incident, the opinion “self blame” riddled: in view of the fact that the Turkey’s NATO ally superpower just gave hardly ten days public is to create a detailed plan for a war of aggression against Syria, was the adoption of Syria established that NATO is going to hurt a fighter jet targeted the Syrian airspace on the coast, to move to Syria to turn on the radars of air defense target, and so find out where the start of the NATO war of aggression similar to the NATO attack on Libya against their Syrian air defense wing must send cruise missiles.

In a non-distorted representation of the incident could be from Turkey and other NATO countries as the United States, Britain and Italy also not at all for outraged war rhetoric, do not use, especially of the hypocritical United States, in the case of two years ago with lethal force have protected the attacked Turkish activist ship Mavi Marmara, the attackers of Israel before any condemnation by the UN Security Council, although the Israeli attack on the Mavi Marmara clearly and definitely not in an Israeli-Palestinian 12-nautical-mile zone, but all the 72 nautical miles off the coast took place .

What do you make the Turkish NATO media has is that they make a lot of effort, the Turkish aggression against Syria , despite the clear piece of evidence that the Turkish jet lies deep in Syrian waters, based by the absurd statements of Turkish politicians and military distortion in a Syrian aggression against Syria re lying to Israel finally his long-cherished dream of a Turkish-Syrian war closer to a piece. Zionist mass media in other NATO countries will hit the fomenting war sentiment is not so much trouble. The German fairy tale scene, for example, falsely claiming simple and plain , citing unspecified “Turkish reports,” the Turkish fighter jet would lie in international waters.

Update 13:40: SANA reported that Syria’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Jihad Magdissi has the claim of Turkey, the phantom was in international airspace 13 miles (24km) off the Syrian coast was made in a televised message rejected as false. Magdissi said therefore that the Turkish jet had not been shot with an air-ground missile, but with anti-aircraft artillery. The weapon used to shoot down only have a range of 2.5 km, according to SANA, he led continues. Syria had asked the Turkish side to form a Militärkommitee, and come take a look at the scene, but Syria did not receive a response. Further details from the statement of Makdissi loud SANA: the incoming flying object flew fast at 100m altitude and 800 km / h. The anti-aircraft, which has shot down the plane was a spring gun, and so set to air on the Syrian coast objects visually, without radar, detects and automatically shoots when they come in the 2.5-km reach of the cannon. The gun operates without human intervention in seconds and could have been a Syrian plane was shot down when it would have flown with these parameters on the air defense system backed by the Syrian coast. Syria has a tail section Makdissi According to the downed aircraft recovered, you can see the bullet holes on the FLAK. Update: This is part of the downed aircraft was handed over to Turkey, according to Syrian media continues.

The emission of Magdissi explanation fits well with the statement of the Syrian army spokesman from Friday to Saturday night and the artillery sounds of Friday by Turkish media, popular beach video , which claims that during the shooting down of the Turkic Sichen Phantom was filmed to be.

Update 26.06:. The above-linked and embedded video beach, the views thousand had been censored from Youtube, on the grounds that it contains “Harmful Activity”. That the unmasking of mendacious propaganda war from the perspective of NATO in the NATO-USA State beheimatetetn video platform is a censorship-worthy “Harmful Activity” is nothing new. But from the video, there are still a bunch of duplicates .

In the airplane forum, someone who seems to be a former German F4 pilot, explains how he explains the use of F4 before syyrischen coast. Quote:

As I think more like a flight in which the air defense should be tested. It flies slowly ran closer to the possible location of the enemy, observing the intrusion of the search radar, and if the target radar turns aufschaltet from you. Now you know how the system is on-board warning systems, for example, the new Russian Rakentenabwehrsystem stationed. From this we can develop new countermeasures and tactics. The fact that this is not armed but a reconnaissance machine and that it is done with a single plane and not in composting is also clear, we want to make themselves so clueless if you get caught with the goods.

Has gone wrong and the person in charge is also aware of what we can to moderate the reactions of Turkey as well as the behavior of NATO derive very nice.

This fits very well with the Syrian explanation. Syria says at last, they had the low-flying Turkish F4 on approach to the Syrian coast, not been on the radar. The machine was about two miles off the coastline of a self-shot camera and then optically detected automatically by the self-shot camera with anti-aircraft, which has a maximum range of 2.5 km, bschossen been.

This view is also that Turkey now claims , a Turkish CASA search plane after the crash was followed by the F4 at about the position geichen been shelled by Syrian artillery. If Turkey has sought the search plane, the Turkish F4 just off the coast of Syria, then the search aircraft in the area of Syria to come from air defense established self-shot system.

Update 26.06. 18:00h:

Syrian Girl partisan had interview with Ali Mohamed , editor of the Tribune Syria. Ali Mohamed says the video is authentic Starnd, friends of his had done it while bathing near Latakia.

TRIPPING ERDUGAN

THE TWO AIRFIGHTERS THAT WERE NEVER SENT TO PROTECT THE ACTIVISTS ON THE MAVI MARMARA WERE SENT ON A RECONNAISSANCE NATO MISSION OVER SYRIA.TRIPPING ERDUGANAs usual Erdugan is lying to his people . No wonder since Erdugan is a lie himself : an Islamic puppet created by the world order. In front of all, the PM of Turkey is not ashamed to lie and say that the reconnaissance Turkish air craft was shot down within International air space and that Syria violated International law by bringing it down . What Erdugan is saying is not true because the air craft was shot at when it was 2km over Syrian land after it made two circles over the shore violating Syrian air space , it was not brought down by missiles it was simply shot down .The other thing that Erdugan did not even mention was that the reconnaissance air craft was on an Intelligence mission on behalf of NATO to test Syria’s air defense system . Well, NATO has got its answer now and so has Erdugan who would better leave his arrogant attitude and his out of place ego trip of a Ottoman Sultan to a more modest stand .The Lesson Erdugan has to learn from this is to stop meddling in Syria’s affairs before it’s too late and that there is no reason he should expose Turkey to more incidents and accidents. What Mr Erdugan should know -as well- is that in any given struggle, righteousness is a source of strength and that stooges like himself have everything to fear from Syria the hearth of Arabic Nation and the protector of the Arab and of Palestinian Cause . Let Erdugan first come to terms with the killers of the nine Turkish activists on the freedom flotilla before starting accusing Syria of things that Syria did not commit

President al-Assad on Tuesday ,to the Council of Ministers:” the social aspect is the basis for political stability and security”

President al-Assad on Tuesday ,to the Council of Ministers:

President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday presided over the first session of the new cabinet after the new government members sworn in before him.

“When we are in a war, all policies and all sides and all sectors need to be directed at winning this war,” Syria’s state news agency SANA quoted Assad as saying at a meeting of the new cabinet on Tuesday.

The Syrian government will continue to fight against “armed terrorist groups,” he added.

The Syrian president also dismissed the West’s arguments, saying the West “takes and never gives and this has been proven at every stage.”

“We want good relations with all countries but we must know where our interests lie,” he added.

The President addressed the new government, calling on the ministers to contact with the citizens in transparency, specifying the priorities and immediately acting to carry them out, providing the basic needs, preventing prices’ increase, combating monopoly and reconstructing infrastructure sabotaged by the terrorists.

President al-Assad gave directives to make the priority to the poorest areas in Syria, putting mechanisms that achieve social equality among citizens, accelerating achievement of the laws related to the administrative reform, combating corruption, rehabilitating human resources and controlling the governmental losses.

“All previous circumstances, particularly the current ones, have proven that the public sector is very necessary to Syria.. but this doesn’t mean to keep it loser or be a burden on the state and the budget,” the President said, instructing the new government to put a clear vision to develop this sector.

President al-Assad stressed that the social aspect is the basis for political stability and security, saying ” We are here to work… we have to possess an economic mentality with a clear vision”.

The President said that the agricultural sector is strategic and no other sector in Syria can be compared to it since the large part of Syrian society lives and works in agriculture and a great part of the Syrian economy is affected by agriculture and the annual seasons.

President al-Assad underlined the importance of  focusing on the small and medium-sized industries because the Syrian economy, and even, the President says, the economies of the big countries will not or didn’t grow depending on the great industries or projects, but they were built on the small projects.

The President called on the government to search for greater developmental projects that serve the citizen and wouldn’t be a burden on the state like the housing projects which benefit the citizen and the state alike.  President al-Assad gave directives to study the financial and currency polices which boost development like issues of Banking  interests and the prices of currency exchange.

“When the Central Bank gives numbers, it is essential for the government to find polices or goals that fix these numbers like employment, unemployment, inflation.. these polices have to be carried out by other institutions, including the Central Bank,” the President said.

The President underscored the necessity of focusing on the economy of knowledge and making it a strategic policy as it is very important for all sectors and its additional value is very high.

President al-Assad referred to the big responsibility assumed by the new government in light of the current condition Syria is passing through, and the need for possessing the spirit of challenge and responsibly in order to become the government of challenging difficulties, working to achieve the aspirations of citizens, particularly this government comes after the new constitution.

Mr. President underlined that we live a state of real war, and when we live a state of war, all our polices, directives and all sectors will be directed in order to gain victory in this war.

President al-Assad referred to the necessity of differentiating between the default of a minister and the default of the government, saying “in a lot of cases, we see that a default by a minister might be reflected on the government with a negative view, criticism or accusation.. the minister has to defend his/her point of view, so the citizen will differentiate between the performance of the Minister and the government’s.. the Minister or the official should bear his/her responsibility.”

The President called upon the government to boost relations with the East, from Russia into the countries of the East, the South which means the Latin America and Africa through signing agreements with these states and to help the private sector build a real relation with them.

“Apparently, the problem was with the West only, while the majority of the world want to build relations with us and with others, but throughout decades, we were seeking to boost our economic ties with those who colonized us directly or indirectly.. Syria seeks to build good relations with all world countries but we have to know where are our real interests,” President al-Assad concluded.

President al-Assad last Saturday issued decree No. 210 forming the new government, headed by Dr. Ryad Hijab.

Earlier, Members of new government sworn in before President Bashar al-Assad.

War At Any Cost: Another Manufactured Pretext for War with Syria

War At Any Cost: Another Manufactured Pretext for War with Syria

The downing of a Turkish jet by the Syrian military last week was not merely a military incident making the possibility of an intervention and regional war much more likely. This episode was the most recent in a long and storied history of “international incidents” or provocations used by imperial powers as pretexts for military aggression. Without such incidents, the forces of imperialism are seen as nothing more than aggressors, out to destroy weaker nations in their own interests. However, with the necessary justifications that such episodes provide, those same powers can portray their wars as justified, necessary, and wholly righteous.
This event last week was only the latest in a series of provocations specifically designed to justify a military intervention. However, as the façade of the Houla “massacre”, the use of children as human shields, and the countless other lies propagated by the Western media have been debunked or otherwise exposed, the Western imperialist ruling class looks for a new incident to legitimize their plan for total war on Syria.
Just the Facts
On June 21, a Turkish jet was shot down by Syrian military forces. Initially, the Western media rushed to portray this incident as a blatantly aggressive action by Assad and his military, hoping to play off their many months of propagandizing the public into believing Assad to be the devil incarnate. Vigorous condemnations were heard from all corners of the Western ruling establishment, as the world seemed to move closer to another so-called intervention. However, as the episode unfolded, the media had to backtrack and, as usual, reversed their initial story without a fraction of the fanfare that the initial lie had. They had to admit publicly that, in fact, the Turkish jet had violated Syrian airspace and so, according to international law, Syria was well within their rights to shoot it down. This fact gets lost in the narrative however, as the world looks to NATO, the military arm of US power projection around the world, to “act decisively”. This episode is merely the latest attempt by the imperialist establishment to drum up support for some form of military intervention by portraying the Assad regime as bloodthirsty monsters. Last month, we saw the world recoil in horror at the brutality of what came to be known as the Houla “massacre”. However, as the United States, France, and the other Western powers attempted to spin the event as a brutal example of why they must wage war on Syria, the truth came out that, in fact, the victims of the massacre were not killed by government shelling, but by close range execution attributable to the NATO-sponsored death squads unleashed on the people of Syria.
Like the Houla massacre, the outrageous claim that the Syrian military was using children as human shields was designed to play on the emotions of the international community in hopes of eliciting a swift response and creating the a climate conducive to war. Naturally, no evidence exists to back up this claim other than a dubious UN report based on so-called “activists” and “eyewitnesses”. The Western propagandists are less interested in being able to support these claims than simply making them and implanting them into the public consciousness.
The Historical Precedent
These sorts of manufactured provocations are nothing new.  There is a rich historical record of such incidents being manipulated, distorted, or entirely fabricated in order to create a pretext for war.  One of the most famous examples of what has come to be known as the “false flag” phenomenon is the Gleiwitz incident. Nazi operatives dressed as Polish soldiers attacked a German radio station and then claimed that this was the work of Polish saboteurs. The Nazis even went so far as to import bodies and stage an entire scene which could then be offered up to the press as “evidence” of the assault.  Naturally, the incident was used as the direct pretext for the Nazi invasion of Poland and the official start of World War II.
A similar international false flag event, today known as the Gulf of Tonkin incident, led to the official start of the Vietnam War. The claim was that the North Vietnamese had deliberately fired on two separate US naval vessels and that this, as an act of war, justified the US officially entering the war. Of course, these incidents have since been totally debunked bydeclassified documents that show, even at the time, lawmakers were skeptical of the claims. However, this episode illustrates the power of manufactured provocations to shape the course of foreign policy and the waging of war.
Perhaps no so-called “international incident” demonstrates more plainly the power of the media to influence public opinion and provide the necessary pretext for war than the sinking of the USS Maine. This event, which was manufactured by William Randolph Hearst and the US establishment in order to justify imperial aggression against Cuba, demonstrates the role of the media in making the case for war. In the lead-up to the sinking of the Maine, Hearst’s and other papers published wild stories of Spanish atrocities all throughout Cuba, the sorts of atrocities that required intervention. Naturally, the Maine incident provided the cover and the US entered into what came to be known as the Spanish-American War. More importantly, however, today’s observers should note that this moment in history is perhaps the official beginning of US imperialism (treatment of the indigenous Native population on the continent notwithstanding).
What To Do?
What makes this issue of false flag events and “international incidents” relevant is the fact that the imperialist ruling class will manufacture as many of these sorts of episodes as is necessary for their war. Because of this, it is incumbent on the forces standing in opposition to such aggression to uphold the principles of international law and justice. Syria was well within their rights to shoot down a foreign jet operating within their airspace, just as the US military would be within its rights to shoot down a Mexican warplane within US airspace. However, this episode is far larger than simply international law. Indeed, it strikes at the heart of the concept of the nation-state.  It demonstrates first, the power of the nation, with its leaders, citizens, and institutions to resist the forces of imperialism. Conversely, it shows the existential need of the imperialist ruling class to destroy strong, independent nations that refuse to be enslaved by the forces of finance capital and imperial economic domination. Syria is the frontline of the struggle against these forces, and those who believe themselves to be anti-imperialists must unite to denounce provocations, pretexts, and legitimizations manufactured by the imperialist ruling class and preempt all their attempts to drive the world ever closer to total war.

Washington and Ankara Intelligence Op? Syria Blamed for Turkish Provocation

Washington and Ankara Intelligence Op? Syria Blamed for Turkish Provocation

On June 22, two Turkish warplanes entered Syrian airspace low and fast. Doing so showed hostile intent.

The Obama administration’s dirty hands are all over this incident. Washington and Ankara wanted a reaction and got it. Expect what’s ahead to unfold as planned.

Turkish officials claim Syria downed its aircraft in international waters. They lied.

A previous article said the Istanbul-based Hurriyet daily reported that “wreckage of a Turkish jet shot down by Syria (was found) in Syrian waters….Turkish news channels reported (it) on Sunday, without citing a source.”

Doing so refutes claims that Syria acted in international waters.

On June 24, the UK government controlled BBC sent mixed messages. On the one hand, it reported high-level British and US condemnations.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary William Hague called Syria’s act “outrageous.” He stressed “how far beyond accepted behavior the Syrian regime has put itself.”

Hillary Clinton said the following:

“The United States condemns this brazen and unacceptable act in the strongest possible terms. It is yet another reflection of the Syrian authorities’ callous disregard for international norms, human life, and peace and security.”
“We will work with Turkey and other partners to hold the Assad regime accountable.”
Ten paragraphs into its online report, BBC also said:

“The Turkish foreign ministry said it knew the coordinates of the jet, which was in Syrian territorial waters at a depth of 1,300m (4,265ft)…”

At the same time, it quoted Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu saying:

“According to our conclusions, our plane was shot down in international airspace, 13 nautical miles (24km) from Syria.”
Territorial waters extend 12 nautical miles from coastlines.

Downed aircraft, at depths of 4,265 feet at the bottom of the Mediterranean, don’t move on their own one nautical mile (6,076 feet) in a matter of hours.

Davutoglu was caught red-handed in a bald-faced lie. BBC highlighted his comments. It noted the truth on three lines buried well into a detailed report. It featured misinformation, not truth and full disclosure.

US media scoundrels also suppressed the story. On June 24, Reuters headlined the truth in a two paragraph report, saying:

“Wreckage of downed Turkish jet found in Syrian waters: TV.”

“Search teams have located the wreckage of a Turkish fighter jet shot down by Syria on Friday in Syrian waters at a depth of 1,300 meters, Turkish news channels reported on Sunday, without citing a source.”

Mossad-connected DEBKAfile (DF) headlined the same information, saying:

“Turkish TV: downed plane wreckage found in Syrian waters.”

DF said Syria used Russian-made “self-propelled medium range anti-air Pantsyr-1 missiles….”

It’s capable of downing aircraft and cruise missiles at altitudes up to 12 km.

Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman Jihad Makdissi said Turkish planes flew at an altitude of 100 meters. Anti-aircraft fire, nor radar-guided missiles, downed one. Unauthorized entering Syria’s airspace “clear(ly) breach(es its) sovereignty.”

He added that Damascus seeks friendly relations with Ankara. It’ll respond in kind to any positive overtures.

On June 24, CNN buried the truth, saying:

“Turkish search-and-rescue teams found the wreckage of the fighter jet in the Mediterranean Sea on Sunday, about 1,300 meters (4,260 feet) underwater….”

Omitted was saying the aircraft was found in Syrian waters. Other major US media also suppressed what most needs explaining.

UK-based ITV News, without elaboration, said:

“Search and rescue teams have located the wreckage of downed Turkish jet in Syrian waters at a depth of 1,300 metres, according to Turkish TV.”

Haaretz ran a more detailed June 24 Reuters report. Citing Turkish news channels, it said, without elaboration, that:

“Search teams have located the wreckage of a Turkish fighter jet in Syrian waters at a depth of 1,300 meters….”

On June 24, The New York Times buried the news in a report headlined “Turkey to Consult NATO Over Downing of Jet by Syria,” saying:

Emergency talks will be held.

“(V)isual and communications date had confirmed that (the) aircraft was struck by Syrian antiaircraft weapons outside of Syrian airspace.”

It added that aircraft wreckage was found without explaining where.

The Washington Post replicated The Times headlining “Turkey calls for emergency NATO meeting over Syria downing of jet.”

“Investigations….suggested that it was not an accident or a mistake, and that Syria was aware it was firing at a Turkish plane….without warning….”

Downing the plane in international waters was stressed despite evidence proving otherwise.

It quoted Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal saying:

“It was an act of war. They shot down a plane over international waters, and this is unacceptable. (Turkey) reserves the right to respond.”

According to Brookings Doha Center director Salman Shaikh:

“….Syria has now presented NATO with a pretext for involvement that could potentially bypass the United Nation.”

“Assad has made a very big mistake. He’s shown the very real dangers of this regime to its neighborhood.”

Former US Turkish ambassador Ross Wilson said downing the plane “further escalat(es) tensions (and) rais(es) the stakes for Turkish leaders who have heretofore limited themselves to diplomatic efforts and mostly quiet support for Syrian refugees and opposition leaders.”

Ross, in fact, knows Turkey runs point for Washington’s war on Syria. It supplies weapons and training.

It provides safe havens. Insurgents launch cross-border raids, then return.

Turkey is complicit in crimes of war and against humanity. What’s next remains unknown.

“Will it end up in war,” asked Hurriyet?

“(I)t’s not that far yet.”

However, it’s clear that Ankara won’t let “Syria get away with the incident.”

It claims Syria’s attack was “deliberate and it should pay for it.”

“Payment does not necessarily mean war, there are other options.”

“Turkey doesn’t want war, but is keeping all options on the table.”

Turkey “will do everything to make Syria pay for the attack….”

On June 24, Today’s Zaman (TZ) headlined “Turkey protests Syria over jet attack, seeks NATO response,” saying:

“Turkey dismissed on Sunday Syrian statements that a military jet downed in the eastern Mediterranean on Friday was in Syrian territorial waters, saying the unarmed plane was shot down in international airspace without warning while on a solo mission to test Turkey’s radar system and that the mission had no connection with the crisis in the neighboring country.”

The comment defies reality. The report nearly ducked Hurriyet and Turkish television saying wreckage was found in Syrian waters.

Paragraphs into the article, it said with no elaboration:

“Officials said the wreckage of the plane was 1,300 meters underwater on the seabed in Syrian waters, although it was not yet found when Today’s Zaman went into print.”

What should have been headlined got short shrift. Most readers likely missed it.

Churchill was almost right, saying:

“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”

Even fully clothed, a tsunami of lies buries it. Headlines repeat them. Truth is suppressed or hardly noticed. Scoundrel media bear full responsibility.

A Final Comment

London-based Middle East analyst Peter Eyre calls Turkey’s provocation “a possible ‘False Flag’ incident to justify an action against Syria.”

It’s coming, he believes, despite its legitimate response under international law, including UN Charter provisions.

Washington planned regime change years ago. Key NATO partners willingly go along. They’re “hell bent into forcing yet another Libya style (conflict) all in the name of misinformation…..”

Naked aggression looms. If Turkey’s provocation isn’t pretext enough, look for others to point fingers the wrong way for war.

Eyre calls it a “New World Order….master plan….to take out many (regional) countries that are not user friendly towards the west or countries that do not have the western fraudulent banking system in situ or (that) do not give lucrative oil and gas contracts to western countries.”

How far into Syrian territory Turkish warplanes penetrated isn’t known. Very likely they were well within the 12 nautical mile limit, then reversed course when Syrian defenses spotted them and reacted.

Damascus acted according to international law provisions. Turkish warplanes were threatening. Flying fast and low showed clear hostile intent. Scoundrel media bury the truth.

Eyre is right saying Syria isn’t Libya. Its military is strong and capable. Full-scale intervention could launch general war “with Russia, China and Iran standing firmly should to shoulder with” their regional ally.

Irresponsible Western leaders may attack anyway. Doing so could threaten humanity. Imagine officials willing to risk it. Imagine the potential consequences.

TS Eliot (1888 – 1965) once said:

“This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.”

He wasn’t up to speed on US imperial intentions and leaders willing to risk all going for broke.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his reservations over the prospect of a military strike in Iran as he urged “Israel” to learn from negative US experience in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Putin’s comments were made in a meeting with “Israeli” President Shimon Peres in al-Quds.
“Look at what happened to the Americans in Afghanistan and in Iraq. I told Obama the same thing,” Putin who is in current visit to “Israel” told Perez.
He further cautioned against hasty military action. “There is no need to do things too quickly; one should not act without thinking first.”

“Iraq has a pro-Iranian regime after everything that has happened there. These things should be thought out ahead of time before doing something one will regret later,” he said and advised “Israel” not to act prematurely.
For its part, “Israeli” Haaretz daily commented on Putins firm stances on both Syria and Iran: “Despite the pressure exerted on him by the “Israeli” officials, there didn’t seem to have been any agreements reached between the two sides on Iran’s nuclear program or Russia’s support for the Assad regime,” it said

Meanwhile, media reports unveiled that “Israeli” officials asked visiting Putin to exert efforts to stop Syrian biological and chemical weapons from falling into the hands of Hizbullah.
Fearing that such weapons may reach Hizbullah, a senior “Israeli” diplomatic source told “Haaretz” that “”Israel” asked Putin for Russia to work more actively to preserve stability in Syria and to prevent biological and chemical weapons from falling into the hands of Hizbullah.”
“Please act with urgency to stop that unacceptable situation,” Perez told Putin.

“During his first visit to the country since 2005, Putin cautioned on Monday against foreign interference in Syria,” the paper added.
He also said it was “unacceptable to think of mutual destruction.”
“From the very beginning of the so-called Arab Spring, Russia has been persuading its partners that democratic changes should take place in a civilized manner and without external intervention,” Putin said after meeting “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

NATO War Council To Target Syria

NATO War Council To Target Syria.

On Tuesday, June 26 Belgium time the North Atlantic Council, the highest governing body of the U.S.-dominated North Atlantic Treaty Organization military bloc, will take up the issue of Syria under provisions of its founding document that in the past ten and a half years have resulted in military deployments preparatory to and the subsequent waging of full-scale wars.

The ambassadors of the alliance’s 28 member states constitute the council, nations whose collective population is 900 million. Its founding members include three nuclear powers – the U.S., Britain and France – the first the self-proclaimed world’s sole military superpower.

Until the day before the meeting NATO was to take up a request by member Turkey to hold consultations under the terms of the North Atlantic (Washington) Treaty’s Article 4, which allows any member state to call on the entire alliance to respond to alleged threats to its territorial integrity and security.

On June 25, three days after a Turkish F-14 supersonic fighter-bomber was shot down over Syrian waters, Turkey announced that it was going to ask the military alliance to discuss its Article 5, which states that “an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all” and commits NATO allies to “assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force…”

Article 5 was invoked for the first and to date only time in October 2001 and is the basis for the deployment of troops from 28 NATO and 22 partner states to Afghanistan over the past decade.

Article 4 was first invoked on February 16, 2003, again by the North Atlantic Council and again in relation to Turkey, on the eve of the U.S. and British invasion of Iraq. So-called Operation Display Deterrence was launched as a result and five Patriot interceptor missile batteries, three Dutch and two American, and four Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) surveillance aircraft were deployed to Turkey in conjunction with NATO’s Integrated and Extended Air Defence System.

NATO, in its own words, deployed “1000 technically advanced and highly capable forces” to run the operation.

The first AWACS aircraft arrived on February 26 and three weeks later the bombardment and invasion of Iraq began. Although Iraq at the time had a population of approximately 25 million and Turkey 70 million, and although Turkey had one of the most formidable militaries in the region while Iraq’s had been weakened by the eight-year war with Iran in the 1980s, the U.S. and allied bombing campaign of 1991 and in the interim, and twelve years of crushing sanctions, NATO afterward praised Operation Display Deterrence as having “tested and proved the success of NATO’s military to respond immediately and with appropriate defensive force to a rapidly developing threat against a member of the Alliance.”

In what manner a fatally debilitated Iraq had presented Turkey with “a rapidly developing threat” was never specified.

The AWACS flew 100 missions and the Dutch Patriot batteries included Patriot Advanced Capability-2 missiles and “a more modern missile provided by Germany,” according to NATO.

The operation was concluded on May 3, 65 days after it began and 45 days after the invasion of Iraq. To provide an indication of what NATO will claim after its meeting on Syria, the then-Turkish ambassador to the bloc stated after the invoking of Article 4:

“I convey once again the most sincere gratitude of the Turkish people and Government for the Alliance solidarity shown in reinforcing the defence of my country in response to the latest crisis in Iraq. We are convinced that, through such an active and collective display of deterrence, NATO has not only extended a much-appreciated helping hand to one of its members in her hour of need, but also proven, once again, its credibility and relevance as the cornerstone of collective security in the Euro-Atlantic area”.

Turkey was then, as it is now, portrayed as the victim – in its “hour of need” moreover – and besieged and soon to be devastated Iraq as the aggressor.

Syria’s population now is much the same as Iraq’s was then and Turkey is now a nation almost three times as large. Syria is isolated and its military forces are small compared to its neighbor Turkey’s. The latter can count on the support of 27 allies, including most of the world’s major military powers. The U.S. has an estimated 90 B61 tactical nuclear weapons stationed at the Incirlik Air Base 35 miles from Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.

Activating the Article 5 mutual military assistance – in effect war – clause has been mentioned by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at least twice since April, on the first occasion over two months before the downing of the Turkish warplane last week.

On June 25 Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc announced that his nation “has made necessary applications with NATO regarding Article 4 and Article 5.”

According to the Associated Press, he added:

“It should be known that within legality we will of course use all rights granted under international law until the end. This also includes self-defense. This also includes retaliation many-fold. This includes all sanctions that can be applied to the aggressor state under international law. Turkey will not leave anything out on this issue…”

The U.S. and NATO have been itching for a pretext to attack Syria, and Turkey, the only NATO member to border the country, has always been the pretext which would be employed to justify military action against the Arab nation.

Last Friday’s incident and the NATO meeting following it signal the fourth act in a tragedy that the world community has precious little time to stop.

UN responsible for stopping anti-Syria mercenaries: Analyst

Unrest has engulfed Syria for more than a year and the foreign fianancial, military and logistic support for the armed gangs fighting against the Syrian government has intensified the crisis.

Press TV has interviewed the president of the Syrian UN Association, George Jabour, from the Syrian Capital city of Damascus to further discuss the issue.

The following is an approximate transcripte of the interview.

Press TV: Mr. Jabour you know, there is increasing evidence of external support such as, Qatari, Saudi and even now German for Syrian rebels. With so many hands in the pot, how is the future of Syria looking at this point?

Jabour: Well, it seems to me that there are so many mercenaries working in Syria with the encouragement of their respective countries. I certainly do not like it, the future of Syria with this group of mercenaries working on its land certainly calls for all sorts of anxiety, but then I would like to appeal through you to the United Nation’s Security Council and to the United Nation’s Secretary General to take this matter into the attention of international bodies because mercenaries fighting is a duty on the United Nations. It is incumbent on the United Nations to fight irregular armies.

Irregular armies have a situation whereby they can break international law without any punishment; there is no state responsible for them.

So I appeal to Ban Ki Moon; as the President of the United Nations’ Association of Syria, to take this matter seriously.

If he looks into the article of the international Herald Tribune two days ago on that CIA working in Turkey and furnishing arms to the Syrian armed opposition groups in order to differentiate between those who belong to al-Qaeda and those who do not belong to al-Qaeda, you will find, that is what the newspaper said, you will find that there is a real breach of the international law and that the United Nations’ Secretary General stands to answer questions on this.

I also appeal to President Obama because he considers himself to be a responsible president for a responsible state, I called for him to be more responsible in trying to hold bloodshed in Syria because what his agents are doing in Turkey, certainly contributes to more bloodshed in Syria in the name of the Human Rights, in the name of the Syrian people, in the name of …, as I work on human rights, I appeal to President Obama, I appeal to the United Nations’ Secretary General to stop those mercenaries.

Press TV: Mr. Jabour what is the game plan at this point for those countries who are now openly admitting and calling for intervention in Syria?

I mean has in essense intervention become something acceptable to the international community?

Jabour: It is not, it is against international law, but then again you know that intervention continues to be the lifestyle of many states.

As a matter of fact you can not check intervention by good manners. You have to counter intervention by active measures.

As a matter of fact, I think that what we are witnessing in the region and in the world, is a sort of return of the Russian-American rivalry and I believe that both the Russian President and the American President are responsible enough to try to stop the bloodshed in Syria in the name of the human rights, in the name of the right of everybody to live, to enjoy his life.

I appeal to the presidents of Russia and the United States and again to the United Nations’ Secretary General to try to stop bloodshed, especially through the checking of the mercenaries exercising more checks on mercenaries.

As a matter of fact they have to eliminate all sorts of irregular armies. This is a duty of the United Nations and of the international law.

I know that international law is not applicable always, but then we have to strengthen the international law; without international law the whole world will become a big, what Thomas Hobbes used to call leviathan.

A precursor to war: Syria

Despite all of the efforts of the UN and Russia and other countries that have influence in the region, the West continues to do anything and everything that it can to facilitate and provoke an invasion of Syria, and it is clear that those beating the drums of war have no interest in the untold number of lives that will be snuffed out by the hell they are preparing to unleash on the people of Syria, who are already suffering, nor on the very distinct possibility that it will ignite a larger violent conflict in the region.
If you have been following the news I am sure that you have heard by now that over the weekend a Turkish F-4 Phantom Fighter was shot down over the territory of Syria. At first Turkey reported that the aircraft was flying in international waters and almost immediately called for an emergency NATO session under article 4. As Turkey is a NATO member it does have that right to do so. Article 4 states that member countries must meet, “whenever the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the parties is threatened.”
So here we have it, what anyone who has been watching the situation in Syria has been waiting for: the perfect pretext for a Syrian “no fly zone, humanitarian intervention” invasion. Again directed from Washington, carried out by its surrogate NATO, and taking place on the Eurasian continent.
The war drums are beating once again, and even though Turkey has now admitted the fighter “strayed” into Syrian airspace, and the wreckage has been found on the bed of the Mediterranean, in Syrian waters at a depth of 1,300 meters, there is no talk of cancelling their call for talks on NATO involvement.
While the Western media are full of reports blaming Syria and the like, no one thinks to question why in such a volatile area and under the current circumstances Turkey would send, or even allow, their fighter aircraft into the area and then allow it fly into Syrian air-space.
Provocation: pure and simple. And the timing could not be more perfect, coming on the heels of developments that undermine the plans of the North Atlantic Alliance. The first being the Syrian government pledging to follow the peace plan drawn up by Kofi Annan and the another being the inclusion of the opposition in the new cabinet and government formed after the country’s first multiparty elections which were held on May the 7th.
This also comes on the heels of reports and the materialization of evidence that the CIA and the West are funding and arming the Syrian “rebels” and a failed propaganda attempt by Hillary Clinton to provoke Russia and again give a reason for military intervention in Syria.
The playbook is the same and follows the script for complete and total global domination that was drawn up by the Project for the New American Century before the events of 9-11, an event which served as the catalyst for all of the wars we are living through today and which has pulled the world into an endless global war against phantom enemies.
First there are accusations of human rights abuses, mass killings, weapons of mass destruction, acts of aggression etc., then reports of the necessity to intervene, after which complete obliteration and destruction of the target country, massive casualties and then control of resources, the members of the new ruling class, and massive profits from reconstruction and resource control.
We have seen the same thing before with NATO and the U.S.: Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, and Kosovo; it is a formula they seem to have stuck to because so far they have gone unpunished for what in fact are crimes against humanity. Yes, waging a war of aggression is a crime against humanity. Even if it is a “preventive” war as the US loves to go around labeling its bloody criminal killing enterprises.
There are always accusations of terrible crimes and violence that must not go unpunished by what in fact are the worst out-of-control killers, killing thousands and destroying countries to make them exploitable, in what must be called one the worst crimes against humanity that can be committed, and they do so based on lies and through media manipulation. They have grown so emboldened that they do so regularly and will say anything at all, now without even the need for proof or backing evidence.
Take Hillary Clinton’s recent accusations against Russia, accusing it of selling attack helicopters to Syria, when in fact under old contracts it was selling and servicing what are largely transport helicopters, which of course could be outfitted with guns. We could say the same thing about the US if a terrorist uses an American car, fills it with explosives and blows it up. We could say the US is supplying terrorists with exploding cars. Ridiculous, and for comments like this to be made by the Secretary of State and then for redactions to be made when they are immediately seen for the lie they are would have been an unforgiveable disgrace before 9-11.
Now they are emboldened, running amok and out of control, making statements and fabrications so obvious and so unbelievable to back up their killing machine that it seems an effort in futility to try to counter such an assault on humanity.
For that is what it is, an assault on humanity, on every thinking, breathing, feeling and conscious being on the planet. When one country is allowed to kill at will, a country with a president who laughs that he has a daily assassination list he signs off on, the world must pull together and cut off the head of the beast even it is the Hydra.
We must not sit idly by while they invade yet another sovereign nation on false evidence; any country that does so even once must be stripped of its weapons and of any right to wage war.

Syrian athlete has provoked anger from Zionist forces by declaring his steadfast support for Bashar al-Assad being loyal for his country ahead of competing in the London Olympics.Ahmad Hamsho, a 19-year-old show jumper who has lived in London for around three years, will be part of a 10-person team of Syrian athletes.
He denied Syrian government’s role in growing violence in the country:
“My Government is only protecting people from guys with weapons,” he told The Times newspaper.
“I know that there are terrorists in my country who are bombing civilians and I hope that we get rid of them. And those others who are protesting for a valid reason, I hope my Government will protect them.”
Speaking on behalf of his team-mates, he said: “We must represent the Syrian people and we must also represent Dr Bashar al-Assad, who is still our President.
“We all agree on this point of view as a team.”

Direct support of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the CIA, MI6, Mossad and the U.S. and British millitary is apparently having the desired result – the mass murder of civilian supporters of the government in Syria.
CIA Supported Syrian Opposition Massacres Civilians Kurt Nimmo Infowrs.com June 23, 2012
Direct support of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the CIA, MI6, Mossad and the U.S. and British millitary is apparently having the desired result – the mass murder of civilian supporters of the government in Syria. On Friday, the Syrian news agency SANA reported that at least 25 people were killed and their bodies mutilated by the FSA or an associated terrorist group in northern Syria. The victims were abducted Darat Izza in the Aleppo province. “The terrorist groups in Daret Azzeh committed a brutal massacre against the citizens, whom they had kidnapped earlier in the day,” SANA said. The story was virtually ignored by the establishment media in the United States. On Wednesday, a diplomat at the United Nations, Major General Robert Mood, praised the FSA for its “efficacy.” Mood is a Norwegian major general and heads up the United Nations “peacekeeping” Supervision Mission in Syria. He suspended operations because Syria insisted on maintaining its sovereignty.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Charlie Rose earlier in the week that the United States is working with the FSA and other opposition groups and attempting to turn them into a force capable of overthrowing the al-Assad regime. “We’re also working very hard to try to prop up and better organize the opposition. We’ve spent a lot of time on that. It’s still a work in progress,” she said. The CIA now publicly admits it is working with the FSA. It is providing automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons to the FSA, according to a report published by The New York Times. The Times said the CIA is considering providing satellite imagery and other detailed intelligence on Syrian troop locations and movements to the FSA. The State Department has authorized $15 million in “nonlethal aid” to “civilian opposition groups” in Syria, according to the report. In 1987, the former CIA Station Chief in Angola in 1976, John Stockwell, said the CIA is responsible for tens of thousands of covert actions and destablization programs since it was created by Congress with the passage of the National Security Act of 1947. At the time, Stockwell estimated that over 6 million people had died in CIA covert actions.

The lies of those unable to destroy the Syrian strength – By Ghaleb Kandil

Syria was never the center of the universe as much as it is today. All around the world, hundreds of pieces of information and thousands of reports, rumors, fabricated pictures and made up news are emerging via media networks that are shedding light on contradictory positions and statements of senior Western officials.
At this level, the Russian government is finding itself forced to issue quasi daily statements to deny many rumors and clarify the falsification affecting the positions of its officials.

Firstly, the American empire is doing its best to push the bitter cup away from it, i.e. the recognition of its defeat in the face of the Syrian state. Indeed, it is aware of what this recognition will generate in terms of the total collapse that will affect the governments collaborating with it in the region, and the repercussions whose prices will be paid by those involved in the global war it is leading against the Syrian national state and against a resisting liberation leader who defied American arrogance back when the whole world was under its control. Today, this leader’s status is similar to that of Fidel Castro in the fifties and sixties of last century. Despite the opportunity offered by Russia to the US to indirectly recognize the defeat, the American empire deployed all its efforts to sustain the violence on the ground, and exploited the Syrian state’s cooperation with Annan’s initiative to obstruct its effects via the Gulf and Turkish governments, Al-Qaeda, and other formations linked to that alliance such as the Lebanese Future Movement.

Secondly, the Western propaganda machine is spreading a massive amount of lies in regard to the Syrian situation, with the main goal of generating a climate that would compensate for the state of impotence endured by the Americans and all the NATO member states, in light of the regional and international balances and equations that are providing Syria with immunity. The first lie is the promotion of a settlement allowing President Bashar al-Assad to step down. At this level, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov exposed the rumor surrounding the existence of Russian-American negotiations over what is dubbed by the West “Syria in the post Al-Assad stage.” In reality, the American planners among others know that president Bashar al-Assad enjoys wide support in the ranks of the Syrian people and that this support has increased in light of the crisis sweeping the country, as well as its repercussions which are making the Syrians feel as though they and their country are being subjected to a foreign attack led by the Americans against the state.

Hence, according to his people, President Bashar al-Assad is the head of the national state, the advocator of a pan-Arab resistance project and the symbol of Syrian nationalism and the resistance option in the face of the foreign attack which features a global alliance aiming at destroying the Syrian strength and at strengthening the gangs of mercenaries, intelligence agents and extremists. The inhabitants of the Syrian countryside have discovered that the latter could not be farther from the slogans of freedom and dignity, and that they have started to introduce foreign murderers by the hundreds, professional intelligence elements and extremist groups whose presence and role had always been rejected by Syrian society.

Thirdly, the second lie being promoted by the American propaganda is related to the claim that what is happening in Syria might slide towards civil war. The Western propaganda at this level was launched in the form of warnings against the threat of civil war, at a time when all the Western, Turkish and Gulf efforts have been pushing in that direction since the beginning of the incidents, through repeated attempts to depict the events as being a sectarian conflict and the adoption by the West and its agents in the region of the MB group and the gangs of takfir to which they offered all possible financial, military and media facilitations and assistance. The Syrian people on the other hand proved to be immune against these attempts, while the Syrian national state was able to maintain a wide base of popular support, to embrace its army and its national choices and engage in a battle to defend the country and the unity of the people alongside Syrian political and religious leaders.

Fourthly, the third lie was the claim that the conflict between the Syrian state and the terrorist gangs was revolving in a vicious circle and that it would be impossible to settle this confrontation. However, the reality which was confirmed by the events is that this issue is primarily linked to the approach adopted by the Syrian state in dealing with the strongholds of the armed men, through an insistence on sparing the Syrian people as many losses as possible. Hence, just like the situation was settled in Baba Amr based on the state’s decision and timing, the situation was settled in the town of Al-Haffa and the action is ongoing to liquidate the remaining strongholds and dens in the city of Homs.

In the meantime, the Syrian Arab forces achieved decisive progress in the border regions with Turkey and Lebanon where the armed gangs tried to impose their control. This reveals that the issue is not about the Syrian state’s ability, but about the timing it chooses and the issuance of the orders to the army which has not yet used even a portion of its strength in crushing the armed rebellion. These efforts eventually aim at reaching disarmament, after the state gave the armed men all possible opportunities to surrender their weapons peacefully and offered incentives which pushed thousands among them to cooperate with the governmental calls during the last couple of months since the launching of Annan’s missions.

Fifthly, the fourth lie which was recently promoted focused on the attempt to revive the illusion regarding the possibility of launching war on Syria through the presentation of scenarios for military strikes carried out by the American troops and NATO following the collapse of other deceptive tales about direct Turkish war against Syria. At the level of this scenario, all the strategic facts that have become known stress that such an adventure could lead to a great confrontation around the world and in the region, which could cause Israel to pay the price. In the meantime, the new international balances and the aggressiveness of the Russian-Chinese performance are acquiring credibility, to the point where Henry Kissinger assured that an attack on Syria could trigger a global war in which no one in the West can engage and whose consequences would be extremely difficult to bear for a thousand and one reasons.

Lies are the American tools in the context of the psychological war to compensate for the inability of the colonial alliance to confront the resistance launched by Syria, as a population, an army and a state led by Al-Assad to defend its freedom and independence. It would be enough to look at the Istanbul council, i.e. the collaborating front that has no political slogan but the call for NATO’s occupation of Syria, along with the gangs, that include thieves, murderers and thugs. In the meantime, reform which is led by the Syrian state is proceeding in accordance with the project that is open to dialogue with all the opposition movements under the auspices of President Al-Assad.

“Preemptive Aggression”: Cold War Politics Reinvented

“Preemptive Aggression”: Cold War Politics Reinvented.

Follo
wing Soviet Russia’s dissolution, everything changed but stayed the same. US aims remained hard-wired. Today it’s back to the future.

Cold War politics were reinvented. Russia’s again the Evil Empire. Today’s stakes are much greater. World peace is threatened.

Preemptive aggression is official US policy. America’s duopoly power wages permanent wars. Israeli Lobby and Christian Right extremists support them. The fuse is lit for trouble.

Beating up on Russia is relentless. Putin is fast emerging as public enemy number one. Intense propaganda vilifies him. His opposition to America’s imperial agenda draws rebukes.

At Mexico’s G20 summit, he reiterated his position against foreign intervention to oust Assad. Syrian sovereignty is inviolable. Its people alone should decide who’ll lead them.

The same holds for all countries. International law prohibits nations from interfering in the internal affairs of other states, except in self-defense if attacked.

Syria threatens no one. Crisis conditions there should be resolved constitutionally.

“No one is entitled to decide for other nations who will be brought to power and who will be removed,” Putin stressed.

“A change of power, if it occurs – and it could only occur by constitutional means – should result in peace and stop the bloodshed.”

“In order to achieve that goal, we need to work well, to make all parties to the armed conflict stop the bloodshed, sit down to the negotiating table and agree on how they will jointly live in a common country and how the interests and security of people involved in the conflict will be ensured.”

“This should be done beforehand, and not like in some North African countries, where bloodsheds continue despite regime changes.”

Rebukes follow these type comments. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and UN envoy Susan Rice repeat spurious accusations. Media scoundrels regurgitate them. No holds barred propaganda war is waged. Truth and full disclosure don’t have a chance.

“Punish the Russian abusers,” headlined a Washington Post editorial.

Obama’s “hopes of forging a partnership with (Putin) appear to be fading fast.”

“Russia is rebuffing U.S. appeals for cooperation in stopping the massacres in Syria, while continuing to supply the regime of Bashar al-Assad with weapons.”

“Meanwhile the Kremlin is cracking down on Russians seeking democratic reform or fighting corruption.”

“Partnership” and “cooperation” are code terms for surrender.

Putin isn’t about to roll over for Washington. As a result, he’s public enemy number one.

People, nations, or editorial writers who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. US corruption is rife. Grand theft is official policy. So is stealing from the poor for the rich.

Dissent is an endangered species. Whistleblowers and courageous journalists are targeted. So are nonviolent protesters and anyone challenging US hegemony.

America is the land of the free only in political rhetoric and patriotic songs. Hard facts reveal a nation heading fast for full blown tyranny.

“Congress (must) send Mr. Putin and his cadres the message that their lawless behavior will have consequences. ”

Congress and administration officials spurn international, constitutional, and US statute laws. Corruption is a way of life. So is war on humanity.

Fingers pointing the right way explain what’s vital to expose to the clear light of day.

Scoundrel media suppress what’s most crucial to disclose.

An earlier Post editorial headlined “US must maintain way to press Putin regime on human rights,” saying:

He campaigned “on a platform of anti-Americanism. ” As president, he’s “inaugurating an era of unrest in a nation whose rising middle class rejects him.”

His agenda features “autocratic domestic policies…. ”

“(D)emocratic reform” is needed.

Putin lacks “political legitimacy.”

In fact, with 64.7% support, he won reelection by a landslide. His closest rival finished a distant second with 17%. Putin is Russia’s most popular leader.

Times editorial writers claim his popularity is “waning.” He’ll have to find new ways “to guarantee his legitimacy.”

His electoral majority topped every US president since James Monroe. In 1820, he ran virtually unopposed.

Franklin Roosevelt’s most impressive win was 60.8% (1936). Lyndon Johnson got 61.1% (1964). Richard Nixon managed 60% (1972). Ronald Reagan’s best was 58.8% (1984).

In 1860, Abraham Lincoln won an electoral college victory with 39.8% of the popular vote. His nearest rival got 14.3%.

In 1864, he repeated with a 55% majority.

Putin’s victory stands all the more impressive. Nonetheless, Times commentaries call Russia’s political system “hermetic.” It “parad(ies) democracy.”

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Washington spurns democratic values and rule of law principles. Hardline governance is policy.

US Elections are scripted theater. Secrecy and back room deals substitute for a free, fair and open process. Candidates are pre-selected. Big money owns them. Key outcomes are predetermined.

Power brokers control everything. Voters get the best democracy money can buy.

Popular majorities reject both major parties. They’re in lockstep on all issues mattering most.

Ravaging humanity is policy. Public welfare is a quaint artifact. So are human and civil rights. No nation spurns them more than America. No media more aggressively support the worst of all possible worlds.

New York Times editorials and op-eds accuse Putin of mocking democratic rights. “There can be no illusions about who Mr. Putin really is,” they say. He “bullies his own citizens (and) neighbors.”

Other commentaries call him “a strongman.” US relations under him “chill(ed).”

Challenging US hegemony draws harsh political and scoundrel media responses. They haven’t deterred Putin from saying what few other leaders dare.

A Final Comment

Congressional action on two issues are pending. They include whether or not to repeal Jackson-Vanik (JV). It’s a Cold War relic.

Section 401, Title IV of the 1974 Trade Act affects commercial relations with communist and former communist countries.

It targets nations accused of restricting emigration and human rights. Following unanimous congressional approval, Gerald Ford signed it on January 3, 1975. It still influences trade relations with some states. Repealing it is long overdue.

Congressional action approaches. Passage remains uncertain. Obama and Senate Democrats want it. Hardline House and Senate Republicans object.

Eight Senate Finance Committee Republicans issued a joint statement, saying:

“Many aspects of the U.S.-Russia relationship are troubling.”

They cited the “flawed election and illegitimate regime of Vladimir Putin.”

Hardline House Foreign Affairs Committee chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R. FL) said:

“….concessions to Moscow must stop, including the latest effort to repeal the Jackson-Vanik amendment to give Russia preferential trade benefits.”

At issue is linking JV with so-called House and Senate Magnitsky legislation.

On May 19, 2011, S. 1039: Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2011 was introduced. No further action was taken.

On April 19, 2012, HR 4405: Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012 was introduced. It awaits full House consideration.

Both Houses plan linking JV with Magnitsky. Doing so damages US/Russian relations.

Sergei Magnitsky was a Russian attorney. His 2009 death in police custody drew international media attention.

Employed by Firestone Duncan, he specialized in civil law. He did anti-corruption work. He represented Hermitage Capital. He uncovered evidence of tax fraud. He implicated the police, judiciary figures, tax officials, bankers, and Russia’s mafia.

He was called “the ‘go to guy’ in Moscow on courts, taxes, fines, and anything to do with civil law.”

In November 2008, he was arrested, imprisoned, and treated abusively. Held for 11 months, he was denied family visits. He developed serious health problems, but got inadequate treatment.

On November 16, 2009, he died for reasons attributed officially to a “rupture to the abdominal membrane” and subsequent heart attack. If trial proceedings didn’t begin, he was due to be released eight days later.

At the time, RIA Novosti said his death “caused public outrage and sparked discussion of the need to improve prison healthcare and to reduce the number of inmates awaiting trial in detention prisons.”

In December 2009, an independent Moscow Public Oversight Commission said he was subjected to “psychological and physical pressure…. ”

One of its members first blamed his death on medical negligence. She later believed he was murdered. In November 2009, then President Dmitry Medvedev ordered an official investigation. In July 2011, it blamed his death on medical neglect.

House and Senate Magnitsky legislation imposes visa bans, asset freezes, and other sanctions on Russian nationals accused of committing human rights abuses. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov calls the measure “anti-Russian. ”

He’s right. It’s more about targeting Russia and Vladimir Putin than individual human rights abusers.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned Moscow will introduce tough countermeasures if Magnitsky passes.

“If this outrageous move takes place, Moscow’s reaction will be complex, multidimensional and really tough,” he said. He urged Congress to reconsider. Otherwise, “negative consequences for the whole complex of Russian-US relations” would follow.

He called Magnitsky “inadmissible” extraterritorial legislation.

The US National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC) opposes the bill. It urged House and Senate members reject it. Passage will harm US/Russian trade. It’ll also cause political damage.

In July 2011, the State Department issued visa bans on several dozen Russian officials accused of involvement in Magnitsky’s death. Moscow retaliated in kind.

Linking Magnitsky legislation to lifting JV imposes a major stumbling block on US/Russian relations. It’s also about beating up on Putin.

Congressional hardliners apparently have that those objectives in mind. So do supportive media scoundrels.

Em Sari Saoud

Uploaded Monday 11 June 2012. (Sourced from Syrian TV) Sari Saoud was killed in late November 2011. His mother was with him in a street near their home in Homs when he was shot. In this interview, she relates what happened. She explains that the people she believes were responsible for his death were intent on videoing her grieving over his body so they could send the video to Al-Jazeera. Al-Jazeera was very quick to broadcast the footage and claim Sari had been killed by soldiers.

The martyr Sari Saoud was just a little kid from the city of Homs, but the terrorists – and behind them the propaganda machine in Al-Jazeera dark rooms – considered him noting but a commodity that can be used to incite people for more bloodshed in Syria…
What happened with Sari is not new, because the terrorists and their global sponsors did the same with many other children, but the case of Sari had a very special flavor.
Sari is from a christian family and the terrorists was so careful to repeat this and they focused on the cross several times in the videos they posted. It was just a dirty try as usual to give the impression that the Syrian government is targeting the Christians, and the Christians now need the NATO to come and protect them.

Actually what happened with Sari would happen to all moderate and tolerant Syrians if this so-called revolution succeeds God forbid.
Here is Sari’s sad mother relating what happened:
“There were no army units, nor security forces. If the army was there, my son would have survived…
may God protect the Army, may God protect the Army and our President.”

(Reuters) – Search teams have located the wreckage of a Turkish fighter jet shot down by Syria on Friday in Syrian waters at a depth of 1,300 meters, Turkish news channels reported on Sunday, without citing a source.
Turkey’s foreign minister earlier said search and rescue teams were still searching for the two missing pilots. He said the search operations were in coordination with the Syrians.
Turkey issued diplomatic note to Syria about shooting down of the military jet, diplomatic officials said, after their “smart” leaders changed the declarations about the violation of the Syrian airspace (Earlier in the day Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkish military jet was shot down by Syria in international airspace) …after 2 days from the incident and a lot of official Turkish declarations (Including Gul,ErDOGan )…

A statement by the Syrian military said the Turkish plane was flying low, 1km off the Syrian coast, when it was hit by anti-aircraft fire. The plane fell in Syrian waters seven miles west of the village of Um al-Touyour.
In a telephone interview with Turkish TV news channel A Haber on Saturday, Syrian foreign ministry spokesman Jihad Makdissi said the incident was “not an attack.”
“An unidentified object entered our airspace and unfortunately as a result it was brought down. It was understood only later that it was a Turkish plane,” A Haber quoted Makdissi in a translation of the interview. “There was no hostile act against Turkey whatsoever. It was just an act of defence for our sovereignty.”

Journalist Hosein Mortada  said that the message behind taking down the Turkish jet was conveyed to the Israeli occupation before it was conveyed to Turkey.

Do you know that the Turkish jet the Syrian defence system took down is a Phantom F4 jet which the Israeli occupation developed a fleet of the same kind of jets with a huge amount of money that reached nearly 632 Million Dollars paid by Turkey in 1995. Turkey also asked the Israeli occupation to update 48 jets of the F5 with an estimated cost that exceeded 80 million Dollars later in the same year. The last deal between the Turkish and Israeli sides was signed during the Israeli minister of War Ehod Barak’s visit in January 2010. Turkey tried to deny the news but the Israeli media confirmed it. The cost of the deal is 141 million Dollars. Elbit Systems was also part of the deal.

Muslim Brotherhood the hand of CIA funnel arms to terrorists in Syria

CIA’s use the networks that are in place rather than trying to create their own conduits for arms. It’s cheaper, and more reliable to tap into the Muslim Brotherhood’s arms smuggling operation than starting from scratch, though if we watch in the Western media latelly the CIA would not exist in the Middle East and Syria in particular. These thousands of agents, informants, mercenaries would have vanished as if by magic, while the Lebanese resistance movement continues to discover in its ranks and around it…
Moreover, accusing the CIA to destabilize Syria would be a conspiracy theory so therefore anti-Semitic Holocaust denier. Do not try to understand, these acute neurotic reactions were intended only to discredit those who dare to defend peace in Syria.

This Thursday, June 21, the New York Times had revealed an old open secret that will not please everyone. According to Eric Schmitt , the CIA would transport the weapons to the Gulf Syrian insurgents from Turkey, probably Hatay province where the largest segment of the Syrian Army free (ASL).
The Muslim Brotherhood ,is in fact a group of extremist Islamists a political-funded international Saudi Arabia (aka the Muslim World League) and the U.S. support of Morocco to Turkey to counter the axis of resistance to the Western Empire and “Israel” and as New York Times said 2 days ago:
They received from CIA the weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the officials said.
The C.I.A. officers have been in southern Turkey for several weeks, in part to help keep weapons out of the hands of fighters allied with Al Qaeda or other terrorist groups, one senior American official said. The Obama administration has said it is not providing arms to the rebels, but it has also acknowledged that Syria’s neighbors would do so.
The clandestine intelligence-gathering effort is the most detailed known instance of the American support for the military campaign against the Syrian government. With Russia blocking any aggressive steps against Syria, the United States and its allies have instead turned to diplomacy and aiding allied efforts to arm the guerillas fighting there, American intelligence operatives in Turkey hoping to learn more about the criminal networks inside of Syria and to establish new ties. “C.I.A. officers are there and they are trying to make new sources and recruit people,” said one Arab intelligence official who is briefed regularly by American counterparts. It will be recalled that the U.S. had shamelessly lied by saying they were happy to assist with non-lethal weapons. Transmission of satellite images to locate the troops and their movements repeatedly evoked by the news agencies would it therefore not of itself evidence of military involvement and active so lethal the United States in the war against Syria? Pending This alleged revelation shows once again that the United States, its Western allies, and takfiris have never supported the peace plan proposed by Kofi Annan nor the right to life of Syrian citizens. Their sole obsession: the conquest of Damascus
The “opposition group” they support – the Syrian National Council – is about 70% Muslim Brotherhood, which is why a lot of secular-oriented Syrians have either refused to join, or resigned in disgust. There’s no need to wonder where these arms are going to end up; one way or another, the Brotherhood will continue using it against any of those civilians who do not support or agree with them but stay by their country side and refuse the mendling of foreign Zionists plots .
While violence is in full swing in Syria, where heavily armed rebels did manage to break anything but the dignity of a people but are frown face determining Bashar al-Assad to stop the spiral of chaos and blood, Western pressures are at their attic. The United States and France are the main responsible for the shedding of innocent blood in Syria.Syria has reportedly arrested more than 40 German nationals for attempting to smuggle arms into the country.

An alternative news weblog, the NSNBC, cited a German journalist as saying that the German nationals are the employees of a “security firm.”

The weblog report further said that the Germans were detained while attempting to smuggle arms and ammunition from a cargo vessel in the international waters off the coast of Syria. The source added that the Germans are reportedly jailed along with over 300 other foreigners, among them Portuguese paratroopers.
United States and France with terror groups with modern weapons to create an unstable situation. Washington had earlier confessed that they had sent weapons to armed groups in Syria and said it was ready for an armed intervention without waiting for UN approval.

Google Vows Full Service to Israeli Mossad

Chief executives of the search engine, Google, vowed in a recent meeting with Israeli prime minister to render full service to the Mossad spy agency.

“Investment in Israel was among the best decisions ever made by Google,” Google chief executive Eric Schmidt said during the meeting with Netanyahu.

During the meeting, Netanyahu gave Schmidt a sketch which showed the Israeli flag hoisting above Google’s emblem.

Western media reports had also earlier revealed that Google renders continued and special services to several spying agencies, including the CIA.

Google boss Eric Schmidt said in December that he was surprised to sea Iranian’s talents in cyber war.

“Iranians are unusually talented (at cyber warfare) for some reason we don’t fully understand,” he told CNN.

Schmidt referred to Iran’s infiltration of Danish cyberspace, using methods that are still not clear to Google.

Schmidt also raised the possibility that Iran hacked into the control system of the unmanned US drone it recently captured.

The US spy drone entered Iran through the Afghanistan border, and Iran captured it with minimal damage.he US media reported that the country has been training terrorist and armed rebel groups how to fight the Syrian government and stage terrorist operations using video clips and the internet.

Abu Ghassan in an interview with TIME explains how he learned to fight with an AK-47, a video camera and the Internet-and how Americans helped turn him into a cyberwarrior.

He said the rebel groups picked the former engineer to go abroad for more sophisticated training in computer encryption, circumvention of government firewalls and secure use of mobile phones-courtesy of the US State Department.

Officially, the US pretends that it abides by the UN process led by Kofi Annan and does not condone arms sales to opposition groups as long as there are UN observers in Syria. Nevertheless, as US officials have revealed to Time, the Obama Administration has been providing media-technology training and support to Syrian dissidents by way of small nonprofits like the Institute for War & Peace Reporting and Freedom House.

“If the (US) government is involved in Syria, the government isn’t going to take direct responsibility for it,” says Lawrence Lessig, director of Harvard’s Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. “The tools that you deploy in Internet freedom interfere with tools deployed by an existing government, and that can be perceived as an act of aggression.”

The program actually began four years ago with a different target: China. In 2008, Michael Horowitz went to his friend Representative Frank Wolf, a Virginia Republican, and suggested setting aside funds to help Falun Gong, a religious group that Beijing has labeled a dangerous cult. The money was supposed to help the dissidents distribute software to jump China’s massive firewall and organize online as well as communicate freely with the outside world. Wolf succeeded in appropriating $15 million. But US diplomats feared the move would derail relations with Beijing, and little money was spent. Then the 2009-10 unrests in Iran made Internet freedom a much more fashionable term in Washington. Congress soon forked over an additional $57 million to State to spend in the next three years. The money is split among three areas: education and training; anonymization, which masks users’ identities, usually through encryption; and circumvention technology, which allows users to overcome government censors so that their work.

The funding comes from a warren of cubicles in the southeast corner of the seventh floor of the State Department’s Harry S. Truman building in Washington. There, a team of six people-two women and four men-doles out Internet Freedom Grants to nonprofit groups and software developers that help target groups – US hirelings – all over the world. Most of the team’s day is spent sifting through hundreds of grant proposals and reading expert opinions about which are most promising. “You won’t find commercial providers for this stuff because there’s no money in it. It’s all given away for free,” says Ben Scott, who works with the team at State. “There aren’t that many users in the world aware of-or sophisticated enough to develop-these technologies.” In all, more than 10,000 bloggers, journalists and activists have been trained in 10 languages through 50 programs, and hundreds of thousands more have accessed materials and guides published by the groups.

It’s a peculiar irony that a lot of the subversive know-how being exported to the Syrian opposition was originally developed to circumvent US authorities. One group of American-backed instructors working in the Middle East, for example, trains activists in a tactic used by drug dealers and showcased on the hit show The Wire. In order to have truly secure phone conversations, activists are advised to use a SIM card registered to a dead person and place it in a cheap burner phone that can be easily discarded. Another circumvention technology, called Tor, that allows terrorists to get around Syria’s Internet is favored by narcotraffickers as well as by the hacker group Anonymous. Also being deployed against Assad: private e-mail- and messaging-board platforms similar to the one developed by RiseUp.net, a group of antigovernment protesters who’d been repeatedly targeted by the FBI.

Stealthier work-arounds are in the pipeline. The New America Foundation has a grant to develop what it describes as the “Internet in a suitcase,” which could provide access to the Web when local authorities have shut it down. One app downloads a panic button that dissidents can hit if they’re pulled over by the police or other security forces, instantly wiping all contacts and incriminating evidence from their smart phones. Another app presents a false screen when the wrong security code is entered. And still another blurs the faces of the terrorists so that footage and photos of their operations can be posted without exposing them.

During his absence from Homs this winter, Abu Ghassan took a five-day Communication Security 101 course, which began with the most basic tool: a cell phone. The Syrian government controls the country’s cell networks and can triangulate dissidents’ positions, even using their own phones to bug them. Activists learn to remove the batteries when not using the phones, carry multiple phones and cycle through them as quickly as possible. Trainees are also taught how to encrypt their Internet chats, set up a secure connection and hide their files on a computer. Instructors warn that the Syrian government is engaged in cyberwar too.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

In October, calm was eventually restored in the Arab state after President Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but Israel, the US and its Arab allies are seeking hard to bring the country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and some Arab capitals have been staging various plots in the hope of stirring unrests in Syria once again.

The US daily, Washington Post, reported last month that the Syrian rebels and terrorist groups battling the President Bashar al-Assad’s government have received significantly more and better weapons in recent weeks, a crime paid for by the Persian Gulf Arab states and coordinated by the United States.

The newspaper, quoting opposition activists and US and foreign officials, reported that Obama administration officials emphasized the administration has expanded contacts with opposition military forces to provide the Persian Gulf nations with assessments of rebel credibility and command-and-control infrastructure.

According to the report, material is being stockpiled in Damascus, in Idlib near the Turkish border and in Zabadani on the Lebanese border.

Opposition activists who three months ago said the rebels were running out of ammunition said last month that the flow of weapons – most bought on the black market in neighboring countries or from elements of the Syrian military in the past – has significantly increased after a decision by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Persian Gulf states to provide millions of dollars in funding each month.
In meantime, , last week, an expert in photography and film tricks holding U.S. citizenship arrived in New York after three months he spent in the countries in the Middle East, moving between labs and studios used for disinformation in the media as a part of the arm against Syria
According to a report by Fars Al Manar Palestinian this work goes hand in hand with the arms of intelligence and terror against the Syrian people. , the newspaper , citing the expert, said that there are multiple technical crews conducting the preparation of a television is in the studios, especially in the framework of the pressure on the Syrian people and leadership , and amplify the events to mislead the world. The U.S. expert revealed that these teams funded by Qatar and Saudi Arabia, have more than thirty experts holding different nationalities,as American, European and (Israeli) and that the illustrations are taken out using a miniature replica of certain neighborhoods in the city of Damascus which was built with the assistance photographs taken by spy satellites and developed with a very special use of computerized programs of high precision and efficiency, which is renewed in strategic locations “7 sites within the Damascus” where were filmed more of 214 the scenes of operations to target those sites, and processes to control them on the part of terrorists. The expert stated that there are 32 experts working in these studios and laboratories in the countries surrounding Syria, including Lebanon, Turkey, and there is intelligence teams are determined by the hours of broadcasting.
